The key tasks which were associated with this line of work consisted initially of coordinating the EU funded GCCA:PSIS, however over a few months working, I was assigned additional project to coordinate different regional projects and working closely with regional bodies and technical counter-parts to deliver the project outcomes, provide advice and guidance to the design of the project and to conduct consultations with relevant stakeholders and communities on Tarawa, Abaiang and Tabiteuea North (the latter 2 being the government pilot island for Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management initiatives)

In my years working for the Office of the President, I have been the focal contact and focal point for the Whole of Island approach, consultations with the selected pilot island for the WOI, are based on advice from KNEG, a technical advisory body to the Secretary level, which I am also currently secretariat to

In addition to these tasks mentioned, please find the following tasks assigned and which I have been engaged with during my time working for the Office of Te Berententi:

• Contributed to the development of the Kiribati Joint Implementation Plan (KJIP, 2014)

• Assisting OB (SNPU) as Secretariat for Kiribati National Experts Group on Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management initiatives (KNEG) (This body provides technical advice to the Secretary level of the Government of Kiribati)

• Assisting Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management (Strategic National Policy Unit – Office of Te Beretitenti) with day to day tasks

• Mainstreaming Climate Change into sector activities and across all sectors

• Drafting briefing notes for Secretary OB

• Drafting concept notes for CANCC (Coalition of Atoll Nations on Climate Change)
