  • Bus Rapid Transit project comprises of a metro network and a parallel bus network, aiming at providing all population groups with suitable public transport services, diversifying the transportation means in the city, in addition to keeping the use of private cars within the minimum limits.
  • Responsibilities include the following:
  • Monitor the development of IFC drawings as well as approval of Architectural Shop drawings ensuring that they reflect project specifications and Design Intent.
  • Monitor approval of civil and Architectural materials ensuring that they reflect project specifications and contract drawings.
  • Reviewing all Shop drawings/ Technical documentation, prepared by the sub-contractors and suggesting modifications.
  • To support contract department with sufficient technical information in the preparation of sub contract agreements
  • Key Achievements:
  • Established good working relationship with counterparts in Royal Commission for Riyadh City Site Management team, resulting in timely approval of drawings and materials for the project.

  • Monitor production of Architectural shop drawings, making full coordination with structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines as well as site situation ensuring all planned activities have approved drawings

  • Attending weekly Progress Meeting with Client (Ministry of Justice) in order to receive first hand feedback from Client and Consultant regarding Technical issues

  • This project involved the design and construction of a new section of Riyadh, which aimed to become the new financial hub of Middle East.
  • Responsibilities included the following:
  • Reviewing the project’s preliminary design drawings made by external designers and coordinating with them to ensure that these drawings are developed to a level of detail portraying a clear coordinated description of all aspects of the project
  • To Monitor Preparation of Shop drawings in accordance with final Design, material approvals and specs
  • To monitor material management process relating to submittals approvals leading to timely procurement of long lead materials
  • Attend progress meetings & lead technical meetings
  • Reviewing all Technical documentation, prepared by the sub-contractors and suggesting modifications as and if needed

King Saud University, Girls Campus Project in Riyadh consisted of thirty buildings, out of which five were medical buildings, including College of Medicine, College of Anatomy, College of Dentistry, College of Nursing, and College of Pharmacy. The total value of the project was around 9 billion Saudi Riyals. Construction supervision services were provided by Saud Consult.

Responsibilities included the following:

ð Preparation of Design development documents, particularly relating to Health Care design, to a level that allows detailed design and coordination. This included coordination meetings with end users to incorporate their requirements in the final design.

ð Production and approval of architectural shop drawings, after integrating different disciplines and necessary coordination through a team of six architects.

ð Coordination with Head Office for submission and approval of civil and architectural materials.
