Project: Development of Madinah Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Network Lines 2 & 2A Design and PPP financing model

Roles and Deliverables:


  • Worked in conjunction with transaction advisory consultants to perform project baseline assessment, bankable feasibility studies based on travel demand model outputs and engaged subcontractors in market sounding exercises in cooperation with the national centre for privatization (NCP).
  • Performed Bus Rapid Transit CAPEX/OPEX analysis, line performance and cost calculations in addition to setting VfM performance indicators while issuing reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Created project dashboard, project status reports and project expenditure reports in both English and Arabic.
  • Worked in conjunction with design consultant to prepare tender package structure and design/build contractor pre-qualification based on FIDIC red book Contract specifications.

Roles and Deliverables:


  • Managed Project from preliminary design to tender for the development of a 3 Grade Separated Highway interchange along King Abdulaziz Road in Madinah, which included Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) provisions for a Bus Rapid Transit track.
  • Undertook the development of instructions to tender, particular conditions, and evaluation criteria for project procurement cycle in conjunction with PMO team. Worked in conjunction with design consultant and key utility providers to reduce project land acquisition by 75% through reconfiguration of interchange geometry.
  • Developed Project Risk Mitigation Plans through the collection and analysis of Wet/Dry utility data through engaging relevant stakeholders and developing conflict
    resolution matrices.
  • Engaged with General Contractors to collect and review technical tender queries via initiating tender query response sheets.


Project: Development of Madinah Multi-Modal Travel Demand Model and Transport Masterplan
Roles and Deliverables:


  • Project Manager for the development of Madinah City's first Multi-Modal Travel Demand Model and Transport Masterplan.
  • Initiated workshops with relevant stakeholders to evaluate the strategic and commercial feasibility of their plans and projects.
