· Plan and execute the transportation of raw materials (e.g., iron ore, scrap) and finished steel products (e.g., coils, billets, bars).
· Ensure timely dispatch and delivery while minimizing transport delays and costs.
· Monitor stock levels and oversee storage of steel materials.
· Ensure accurate inventory tracking using ERP systems and conduct regular stock audits.
· Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales departments to align logistics operations with demand and production schedules.
· Maintain continuous communication with suppliers, transporters, and customers.
· Supervise loading and unloading processes, especially for heavy and bulky steel items using cranes and forklifts.
· Ensure proper stacking, storage, and labeling in compliance with safety standards.
· Manage relationships with transport service providers and negotiate freight rates.
· Track fleet performance and ensure adherence to safety and delivery standards.
· Prepare and manage logistics-related documentation including shipping bills, invoices, and delivery notes.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (especially for hazardous or oversized loads).
· Analyze logistics operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, turnaround time, and freight cost.
· Handle export/import logistics including customs clearance, shipping documents, and coordination with freight forwarders
