Major Achievements

Replacement of three 50 MVA shunt reactors made by Hyundai, Expansion of 380 kV Switchyard with two new GIS bays made by Hyosung connected with the existing HITACHI GIS, Expansion of the main Switchyard with one new ABB Bays, 6F substation testing and commissioning which consist of 9 Nos. 115kV GIS Bays, 6 Nos. 63 MVA Power Transformers, 120 No. 13.8 KV Switchgears, and auxiliary equipment. All equipment are Schneider make, 4D Substation expansion consisting of 6 Nos. 115 kV Siemens GIS bays, Expansion of the main switchyard with 2 Nos. ABB 115kV GIS bays (one and half breaker scheme), Expansion of 3C substation consisting of 2 Nos. 115KV ABB GIS bays, Replacement of D.C. systems in 9 substations, Replacement of YIC substation consists of 7 Schneider Switchgears 13.8 KV voltage level, Retrofit of 171 ABB oil circuit breakers in all major substations, Major overhauling of power transformers and shunt reactors in different MARAFIQ sites, Major overhauling of 7 On Load tap Changers (Trafo union and MR), Condition assessment of 10 Power transformers, RCA for 115 KV line PT failure in substation 3C which resulted big voltage dip and total shutdown for the substation, Fire of 34.5KV oil switch in LIP31 substation RCA, RCA for ST4 auxiliary transformer (12/16 MVA, 13.8/4.16KV) tripping which resulted transformer internal damage, Investigation for GAT-12 transformer (34 MVA, 115K/4.16 KV) failure which resulted damage of off load tap changer, Failure of GAT-14 Transformer (34MVA, 115/4.16KV) investigation, Frequent failures in MV incomers/ bus tie oil circuit breakers Study and evaluation, Investigation for the corrosion of 380kV Gas Insulated Bus spacers, Survey and investigation for presence corrosive sulfur in oil of power transformers, Investigation for frequent failures for 13.8KV PT's in 6F substation, Assigned to join Marafiq Leadership Development Program for junior leaders in the company, Member in the Renewable Energy Team which was formed by MARAFIQ, RC and SABIC to initiate renewable energy plant in Yanbu, Member in the reliability committee which was assigned to re-structure reliability department/function and initiate reliability process and procedures in the company through external agent, Participated deeply in the phases of MoC (Management of Change) and implementation of PALM project which was initiated to implement new maintenance planning process and procedures, Member in Transmission PRM (Plant Reliability Management) team which is permanent team to manage, monitor, and control all reliability issues in transmission area, Study of MARAFIQ Transmission Network compliance with grid code
