• Provide leadership and direction to the emergency department staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained and that staff are properly trained and equipped to provide safe and effective care.
• Manage the departmental budget and ensure that financial targets are met.
• Collaborate with other departments and medical staff to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
• Serve as a liaison between the emergency department and hospital administration, representing the department at meetings and committees as required.
