A Safety Engineer with solid experience of 12 years in Health and Safety Executive(HSE), Management and Construction Risk fields in all levels of large scale projects such as Holly Haram expansion. An effective communicator with good analytical, leadership, interpersonal, planning and problem-solving skills were fundamental parts during my experience journey. - Implementation of HS&E management systems, processes, and procedures that improve business operations in accordance with ISO.
- Arrange and lead HSE meetings to verify the compliance with statutory bodies and troubleshoot any functional obstacles.
- Monitor and manage the operations of the HSE management section which includes following up short and long-term goals, objectives and budgets, coordinate activities with other departments and functions, and approve and monitor expenditures.

- Coordinate and execute HSE inspections, and internal, sub-contractor, and third party audits .
- Conducts investigations and analyses of, and reports findings to management on non-conformity reports and root cause analysis, Client Satisfaction Program data, Incidents, near misses, and damages, Customer complaints.
- Develop and monitor HS&E performance, progress, preventive and corrective action plans.
- Establish and maintain project reporting system to ensure that project activities and progress is recorded properly.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with government, Site Health and Safety Managers, local representatives and subcontractors.
- Manage Emergency Response Exercise Planning across all project and site (Emergency evacuation, First Aid, Fire Fighting, medical facilities).
- Work as the internal incident manager, ensuring that safety emergencies and injuries are properly managed.
- Assist in the preparation of new work proposals as solicitations relate to corporate health and safety objectives.
- Review subcontractor safety programs; ensure that subcontractor programs are compliant with corporate, OSHA, client or Safety regulations.
- Conduct safety audits. Audits will include a brief summary report noting any deviations from the HASP and corrective actions that may be necessary to promote the health and safety of workers and the public. Organizes and conduct safety training as necessary.
- Set up Rewards and recognition program for upholding safety culture at projects, offices & location.
- Manage System of reporting, , data collection, MIS, analysis and decision making process with reference to HSE department
- Lead and build motivated team and provide sufficient supervision for meeting achieve desired targets.
- Conduct and record periodical performance reviews and suggest development plans.
- Resolve team grievances and issues.
- Implement and monitor the Site level HSE Management System, Plans and
Safe Work Procedures.
- Promote the HSE Management System by personal example and leadership.
- Promote a strong awareness and personal responsibility for HSE with all management and supervisory personnel.
- Review Company activities and ensure compliance with HSE Policies, HSE Plans and Procedures.
- Ensure that Contractor HSE activities comply with Company & Contractor HSE Policies & Plans, conform to the terms & conditions of the Contract and meet local statutory HSE regulations.
- Liaise with and Coordinate HSE activities with NPDC HSE Department.
- Ensure that all Hazards and Risks associated with Company and Contractor work activities have been identified, assessed and actions implemented to eliminate or reduce these to ALARP.
- Prepare the daily, weekly and monthly HSE site reports and statistics.
- Compile and publish HSE statistics and communicate to all management and personnel
- Emergency preparedness and response plans are developed, documented, implemented and tested.
- Ensure that effective medical, first aid, occupational health facilities, resources
equipment and consumables are provided and maintained at all offices and work sites.
- Implement and execute HSE training plan for Company HSE and other personnel.
- Conduct risk assessments and studies and ensure results are addressed as work is executed.
- Develop specific safety procedures with the Site Team to address identified risks and challenges.
- Organize and facilitate training, drills and exercises for emergency preparedness and response
Ensure that the Contractor activities comply with the Contractor HSE Plan and conform to the terms and conditions of the contract between Company and Contractor.
- Follow up accident investigations to ensure close-out or recommendations to prevent recurrence and ensure communications of results across Company and Contractor workforces.
- Promote HSE-related lessons learnt and the exchange of HSE information across Company and Contractor workforces with the goal of achieving higher HSE awareness.
- Prepare, convene and facilitate regular Site level HSE Committee meetings.
- Ensure that all employees in their own language understand Safety & Health Policy during induction training.
- Implements, safety programs and procedures to ensure personnel and facility safety at the jobsite level.
- Conducts hazard analyses throughout all phases of the project.
- Develops system to report, track, and evaluate worker injuries to Project HSE Manager.
- Notifies Safety Staff & Project Manager immediately when accident/incident occurs.
- Investigates accidents and incidents to ensure corrective action and prevent recurrence.
- Escorts employees in need of medical attention to medical facilities; manages return to work program, including monitoring status of injured employee, return to work status, follow- up visits, etc.
- Prepares accident/incident reports.
- Examines equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
- Evaluates human activities working with and around machinery and equipment to identify hazards.
-Conducts inspections of construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations, to identify and correct potential hazards, to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Determines and enforces requirements for personal protective equipment and devices, and oversees and/or directs installation of safety devices on jobsite.
- Conducts and coordinates safety and first aid/CPR training to educate workers about safety policies, laws, and practices.
- Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports company’s core values.
