The observer is part of the field crew, responsible for the overall safe operations of recording instruments. Typically, the Observer supervises crew operations to ensure the safe and productive acquisition of high-quality data (2D & 3D). In the field, they are ensuring that recording and testing operations are complying with program parameters. From a safety perspective, Observers are responsible for ensuring company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations are being met.

• Responsible for safe operations of recording instruments.
• Supervises crew operations to ensure quality seismic data is recorded in a safe and productive manner.
• Ensures proper use and maintenance.
• Prepares and executes a plan for field recording to ensure that all recording and testing operations comply with client parameters.
