Additional Information - Project Details
INDIAN RAILWAY PROJECT - UTTRAKHAND, AECOM, Tilani Yard - Railway yard will be constructed for storing, sorting, or loading and unloading railroad cars and locomotives. Construction involves works like: Slope protection using rockbolts / anchors, wiremesh & shotcrete. Protecting embankments by constructing retaining walls, either RRM wall, gabions wall or RCC wall. Construction of piles for Road Over Bridge construction. Box culvert was constructed for draining out the water towards the river. Tunnels - The total tunnelling was 18km by NATM. There were mainly two tunnels: Main Tunnel and Escape Tunnel (09 Km each). Main Tunnel included Triple Track section merging to Double track and then into single-track section. It also included Firefighting section whereas Escape tunnel included Electrical rooms. Cross Passages were constructed at every 375m c/c along with Layby sections in Escape Tunnel. One Adit was construction to facilitate the tunneling process.
Mumbai Metro Rail Corp. Project (Maharashtra), J.Kumar Infraprojects Ltd., NATM Scissor Crossover - A Crossover was constructed to allow trains to switch the tracks. It is India's first underground crossover constructed by excavating TBM bored tunnels. Construction work involved: Tunnel sections of different heights, widths and lengths were constructed. Waterproofing works: Membranes at Invert were installed while Sprayed waterproofing at Overt was done. SFRS/SFRC was used as a secondary lining support in heading & benching. Concrete lining was done to support invert. Headwalls were casted with concrete at all transition zones. NATM Subway - A 200m long tunnel was constructed as an entry and exit passage for the public. Construction work involved: Drilling and blasting method was used for face advancement for rock class I & II. Lattice Girder, wiremesh, shotcrete, Rockbolt (GFRP & SN) and spiling bars were used as primary support. Waterproofing was done with geotextile and PVC membrane. Concrete lining was used as a final support. Cross-passage - Total 08 nos. of Cross passages were constructed for emergency exits. Construction involved: Steel rings were used for temporary support of TBM tunnels. Lattice Girder, wiremesh, shotcrete and forepoles were used as primary support for the Cross-Passage. Concrete lining was used as a final support. Permanent steel ring was installed to support the TBM rings.
