Supported the operational development of the joint venture between Gulf Energy Development and OQ8 (Marafiq) during a six-month temporary assignment in Oman. Control Room Operator (Board Operator)
Gulf JP KP2 – 115 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Promoted from Field Operator to Control Room Operator after gaining nearly one year of experience as an Acting Board Operator. Responsible for monitoring and controlling plant operations through the Distributed Control System (DCS), including gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, and auxiliary systems. Perform plant start-up and shutdown operations, monitor operating parameters, respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, and coordinate with field operators to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient power generation.

Operation Engineer (Field Operator)
Gulf JP KP1 – 115 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant

Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of a 115 MW combined cycle power plant. Monitor and operate gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, and auxiliary systems. Perform routine equipment inspections, monitor operating parameters, support plant start-up and shutdown activities, and coordinate with control room operators to ensure efficient power generation, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety standards.

Field Operator – 10 MW Biomass Power Plant (Rice Husk-Fired)

Operated the 10 MW rice husk-fired biomass power plant safely and efficiently. Monitor and operate plant equipment, including boilers, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems. Perform routine inspections, monitor operating parameters, identify equipment abnormalities, and coordinate with control room operators to ensure reliable power generation, optimal plant performance, and compliance with safety procedures.
