I teach Elementary kids Writer’s Workshop, Reader’s Workshop, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Phonics.

In Math I am teaching a holistic Prekindergarten curriculum that carefully sequences mathematical progressions in expertly crafted modules, making math a joy for kids to learn.

In Phonics I teach the basics of phonics by engaging storylines, classroom mascots, songs, chants, rhymes, and games. This helps students fall head over heels in love with phonics and create a joyous community of learners.

In Science I encourage kids to take ownership of their own learning. They learn different concepts of science through an enquiry process.

In Social studies, I encourage kids to learn different concepts of Social Studies through an enquiry approach.

I also teach kids how to drive their learning through a play-based approach.

During this tenure I substituted teachers in teaching, monitored kids in different areas of learning, and worked as an assistant in the library.
