Summary

I am a Ph.D. student at the Department of Water Resources at King Abdulaziz University. I am currently seeking job opportunities in the field of GNSS, InSAR, GIS, or remote sensing. With my academic background, including a BSc degree in Earth Science, an MSc degree in Geodesy, and my ongoing Ph.D. in Water Resources,I am particularly interested in applying GNSS, InSAR, GIS, and remote sensing techniques to address various challenges in earth sciences. I have been impressed by the work carried out at the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) and its contributions to geological research and mapping in Saudi Arabia. It is my aspiration to join SGS to contribute my skills and knowledge in GNSS, InSAR, GIS, and remote sensing for the better understanding of Saudi Arabia's geological and environmental landscape. I am particularly interested in positions that involve the application of geospatial technologies for earth sciences research. My expected graduation date is in 2024, and I am eager to embark on a rewarding career that allows me to utilize my expertise in GNSS, InSAR, GIS, and remote sensing.

  • Utilized Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation tasks in the context of geodesy and geodetic data processing

Doctor of Science - Water Resources

King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Mecca Region
01.2020 -
  • Currently, I am finalizing my study at the Department of Water Resources at King Abdulaziz University, specializing in the application of remote sensing and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) techniques for water resources analysis. My ongoing research focuses on the analysis of surface deformation using InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) and GNSS in Najran, Saudi Arabia, specifically studying the impacts of groundwater pumping on the region.
My research aims to utilize remote sensing data, such as InSAR, to detect and monitor surface deformation patterns caused by groundwater extraction activities. By integrating GNSS measurements, you aim to obtain precise positional information and validate the InSAR results, providing a comprehensive understanding of the ground subsidence or uplift due to groundwater pumping in Najran.
  • In addition, integrating these geologic features into rainfall and runoff models will enhance the understanding of hydrological processes and improve the accuracy of runoff predictions in the mountainous arid basins of southern Saudi Arabia (Yiba, Al Lith, Liyya, Habbwnah, and Tabalah). This research holds significance in water resources management, as it can aid in sustainable water allocation, flood mitigation, and decision-making processes in these areas.
