  • Project Brief: Qiddiya City covers 367 square kilometers and is supported by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). This project is one of the Giga tourism projects being developed in Saudi Arabia as part of the Saudi Vision 2030. The delivery partners included PMO, PMC, and CM.
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Manager for roads, infrastructure, and transportation throughout Qiddiya City.
  • Accountable for the engineering interfaces between all the delivery partners to ensure collaboration between all parties by identifying the internal, external, and key interfaces for every project and the involved stakeholders including stakeholders’ classification.
  • Implementing the Interface procedures, establishing the interface management plans, registers, and agreements, and allocating the best practices to align all connections between all the projects.
  • Led the governance of the lead design consultants and ensured the coordination process between the boundaries of the different projects and avoided any interface risks.
  • Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries
  • Project Brief: The industrial and residential city encompasses a group of portfolios covering an area of approximately 120 square kilometers and costs exceeding 64 billion Saudi Arabian Riyals, including roads, infrastructure, heavy industrial, medium industrial, and residential areas, with future extensions covering 160 square kilometers.
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Leader of the Engineering Projects Section, I reported to the Director of Engineering and was accountable for all the projects’ design within the JCPDI for all stages according to unified procedures for the Royal Commission.
  • Enforce full compliance with the design specifications following the codes and standards approved by the project documents.
  • Implementing the design changes upon the approval from change control board.
  • Led value engineering workshops with the VE consultant to get the optimum design that can achieve value with the least cost as per “Save International” procedures.
  • Supporting the construction department with technical support during execution by replying to technical queries.

  • Project Brief: 3J1 is a SAR 600M underground transfer Metro Station, 30 meters deep, where line 3 and line 6 intersect together in addition to 1.60 linear KM access tunnels (eastern and western).
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for the full design of the 3J1 station, assigned the design tasks to design consultants and in-house designers, and managed the process of design for all design stages to the issued for construction issuance. My role included also the design submittals to obtain approvals from the project consultant.
  • Accountable for the shop drawings and as-built drawings preparation and aligning them with the approved design.
  • Accountable for the coordination between all disciplines using BIM technology and the integrated software to avoid risk during execution.
  • Supporting the construction team during the execution by providing technical advice by preparing the required technical reports as per approved standards. And supporting the QA/QC team in the preparation of method of statement documents, supporting the HSE with structural calculations for the scaffolding, lifelines, and temporary structures, and ensuring the construction safety from the design point of view.
  • 3B2 Iconic Metro Station
  • My scope was providing support to the technical team for the 3B2 elevated station in Riyadh which was a design and build project by leading the design production, reviewing the designer deliverables, submitting the design for approval, and closing all consultant’s comments until obtaining the final approval, and accordingly preparing the shop drawings in house, and provide the technical support during the construction.
  • Bujairi Terrace – Diriyah
  • Project Brief: The project involved strengthening underground parking to support new buildings above, this was to be achieved by stitching expansion joints, strengthening of raft foundation, performing reinforced concrete jacketing of columns and slabs, and constructing new structures on top of the existing parking slab.
  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • I was the project’s technical manager, responsible for reviewing the design provided by the client’s consultant, preparing the shop drawings, supporting the construction department during the execution, and providing the as-built drawings.

  • Project Brief: A SAR 180M Court complex project containing three main buildings, the building structural elements were precast, supported on a cast in situ raft foundation.

  • Reviewing the structural design, calculations, and structural shop drawings as per the SBC, ACI, ASCE, UBC, and AISC.
  • Responsible for inspecting the civil structural works in compliance with applicable codes, best practices, and KSA regulations.
  • Accountable for managing civil structural works from start to finish. Review civil work specifications, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Provide the client with the technical support and conduct value engineering workshops to ensure the optimum design applicable for timeline and cost.

  • Review the structural designs for new buildings and repair works, according to modern technological methods, systems, and engineering standards, and choose the optimum methods for repairing and strengthening.
  • Supervised the execution of the educational buildings from the beginning to commissioning and handing over ensuring the project’s compliance with the Ministry of Education’s specifications and the requirements.
  • Supervise the existing educational building’s repair and maintenance by implementing the optimum technologies promptly.
  • Attend technical meetings with the contractors and other members of the project team and discuss project bottlenecks including corrective solutions.

  • Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Handle execution work, quality control, and subcontractor bills and ensure meeting the deadlines by implementing proper coordination.
  • Active involvement in other stages of the project including but not limited to site investigations, report preparation, client interaction, and construction administration process including structural observations, quantity survey and review of RIFs, submitted shop drawings, testing, inspection report, and product data.
  • Prepare periodical reports (Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual) on construction progress.
  • Attend meetings with the contractors and other members of the project team and discuss project bottlenecks including corrective solutions. Solving issues such as delays, damages, or accidents and carrying out suitable measures to ensure the construction schedule is maintained.
