In these positions I learnt resilience, teamwork, patience and the practical skills of First Aid/CPR, water safety and teaching swimming skills.
Whilst working with JUST, my responsibilities included maintaining the safety of patrons both in and around the pool, managing a team of 5-30 staff, correct reporting of attendance, correct addition of chemicals to keep pools in ideal ranges, the efficient and thorough routines for open and close shifts - including end of day procedures, handling of cash and ensuring the facility is properly closed and locked to guarantee safety outside trading hours, and the proper teaching of water safety and swimming skills for children aged 4-13.
Outside these responsibilities, I have also learnt the basic skills of working a cafe, making and serving a range of hot and cold beverages, and serving hot foods, and confectionery.

Although I was with this company for such a short period of time, I believe this position really helped me understand my working limits and taught me to push myself.
This job was hard, yet I persevered every day for the 14-day period in which I worked, whilst managing shifts for my other two jobs.
My role was to ensure all 9 of the RNA's food outlets were fully stocked with the ingredients they needed for the evening, whilst keeping an accurate stock take.
Working the evening shift, this meant I was by myself for majority of the afternoon and was responsible for moving large quantities of product, on a time limited basis and through thick crowds.
I learnt to manage my time, making the trips time efficient but also effectively moving multiple requests at a time.
I developed close relationships with my team during this time and will always value their kindness and resilience.
