FIFO Maintenance Fitter for Hallett, carrying out minor truck and all fixed plant repairs, servicing and improvements

Worked again with Berendsen after coming back to South Australia from living and working overseas performing all duties and tasks previously done

• Repairing and building various types of excavator buckets and other machinery parts as required
• Fabrication of a wide variety of jobs as per schematic drawings

• Hydraulic fitter disassembling, inspecting, remanufacturing and reassembling Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo and many more types of cylinders and accumulators

• Manufacturing of custom-made hydraulic hoists using manual lathes and mills, duties have also included welding and fabrication work when required

• Shutdown at Simplot, food processing plant
• Tasks included belt and conveyor repair, replacement of moving components and other general repair and fabrication work

• At the start of May I moved to Adelaide for a new opportunity as a diesel mechanic and to continue my previous experience
• I worked on mostly underground Caterpillar machinery reconditioning diffs, torque converters and wheel ends often under time constraint
• My time at Cavpower was invaluable as safety was paramount and it taught me a lot regarding various safety procedures

• KW Automation specialised in a variety of horticulture and aquiculture equipment
• This included graders, washers, conveyors etc

• In 2018, I relocated to Mackay to complete my apprenticeship
• I learnt new aspects including various grinding Techniques, diagnostic and investigative work, milling, metal spraying, precision lathe work, diesel fitting and reconditioning torque converters out of many types of highway trucks, dozers and other mining equipment

• Learning the fundamentals of the trade after securing my apprenticeship following work experience in2014
• This included some shift work
