  • Reliability Dept of Sipchem serving 200 KTA EVA/LDPE plant of International Polymer Company (IPC) affiliate as Process Control Engineer
  • Involvement in complete commissioning, Loop test and Function test of EVA/LDPE plant for DCS, SIS, AMS, and all other allied system
  • Involvement in Start-up and Shutdown and continuous support for EVA/LDPE plant as completely responsible for DCS/SIS and Logic issues of the plant
  • After Smooth start-Up of IPC plant, continuous support as DCS engineer is given in Day and night to have smooth operation of plant and attempt to make automation of the plant as much as possible
  • Evaluates the performance of various equipment’s like Reactor, compressors etc
  • Actively participated in the commissioning of the Mixed Feed Boiler-C, designed to generate 85 t/h of steam using five different fuel sources. Conducted functional testing, verified and certified control logics, and reviewed Cause & Effect matrices to ensure a smooth and safe startup of the boiler.
  • Reviews plant operation with respect to standard operating parameters and compares with the design intention and suggests areas of improvement

  • The plant was divided into two phases: Phase 1 (2 boilers) and Phase 2 (3 boilers), each operating with separate Master Pressure Controllers, leading to challenges in load adjustments and stability during plant upsets.
  • Implemented Emerson DeltaV Advanced Control Solution, integrating all boilers under a single Master Pressure Controller, ensuring seamless steam supply to all Sipchem affiliates.
  • Optimized fuel consumption by improving boiler efficiency, enhancing plant stability, and reducing operational complexities.


Compressor Control System (CCC) Upgrade


  • Led the Compressor Control System (CCC) Upgrade project, replacing the existing Triconex-based control to enhance compressor efficiency and surge protection.
  • Identified deficiencies in the existing system, where anti-surge valves remained partially open during full-load operation, leading to performance inefficiencies and increased surge risk.
  • Implemented CCC controls, ensuring precise anti-surge valve closure within deviation margins, significantly improving compressor performance.


CO OTS System implementation

  • Lead Engineer for the CO OTS System implementation at the IGC Plant, overseeing the project from vendor selection to final commissioning.
  • Defined project scope, deliverables, and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • The CO Plant includes Pre-reformer, Reformer, Amine Absorber & Stripper, CO Dryers, and Cold Box for gases separation.
