• Duties Include:
• Assessing the physical and psychological needs of the patients
• Rendering direct nursing care
• Monitoring vital signs
• Monitoring fluid balance
• Drug calculation, preparation and administration (Oral, Parent ran, TPN and Topical)
• Cardiac Monitoring
• Assisting for procedure like central venous and arterial line insertion, Cut down, Chest Tube Insertion (Thoracentesis and Abdominal parecentsis) PD Catheter Insertion Blood Transfusion
• To draw Blood samples for electrolytes, Hb, RBS, Cardiac Enzymes, PT etc
• Assisting to draw blood for ABG, Cultures
• Inserting NG Tube, Tube Feeding and Drip Feeding
• Assisting for Tracheostomy
• Tracheal suctioning and Tracheostomy Care
• Female Urinary Catheterization and Catheter Care
• Chest Physiotherapy, steam inhalation and nebulization
• Positioning the patient
• Active and passive exercise
• Hot and cold application
• Surgical dressing
• Resuscitating during cardiac and respiratory arrest
• Assisting for ET tube insertion
• Assisting for Internal Cardiac massage and shock
• Electrical Cardio version
