Clinical Care and Inpatient Service

• Coordinated and managed a large number of inpatient nephrology consultations at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital, leveraging clinical expertise to address diverse patient needs and treatment plans.
• Lead care plans for patients with acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), and glomerulonephritis.
• Supervise and coordinate care of patients on various renal replacement therapies (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and CRRT).
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with nursing, pharmacy, and allied health professionals.

Outpatient Clinics

• Conduct longitudinal follow-up of patients in general nephrology, CKD, transplant, and glomerulonephritis clinics.
• Evaluate new referrals and develop management plans under staff supervision.
• Monitor and adjust immunosuppressive regimens for transplant and GN patients.

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Home Hemodialysis (HHD)

• Oversee initiation and maintenance of home-based dialysis modalities.
• Troubleshoot complications (e.g., peritonitis, access issues).
• Collaborate with home care teams and patient educators.

Plasma exchange

• Assisted in evaluating patient candidacy for plex treatment.
  Supported management of the overall treatment plan.
  Collaborated with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Oversaw treatment sessions to ensure patient safety and address possible complications.

Academic and Research Activities

• Participate in weekly academic half-days, journal clubs, and nephrology grand rounds.
• Mentor and teach internal medicine residents and medical students on nephrology rotations.

• Conducted daily rounds to assess dialysis patients vitals signs, volume status and dialysis access patency.
• Preform physical examination and refer patients to MOH hospital if needed.
• Reviewed patients monthly labs and adjust their medications accordingly.
• Educated patients regarding diet and access care.
• Consulted patients regarding Transplant and refer them to transplant centers for work up.
