  • Responsible for the implementation of people-related services, policies and programs and assisted and advised managers on Human Resources issues
  • Primary focus of the role was to manage and operate all aspects of Human Resources and act as a trusted advisor.


Key achievements include:

  • Managed human resources operations by: recruiting, selecting, inducting, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation, benchmarking within the industry; resolving problems, industrial relations and implementing change.
  • Designed and implementation of office policies by establishing standards and procedures, including compliance with OH&S regulations and making necessary adjustments;
  • Successfully rolled out new HRISystem – Employment Hero;
  • Prepared and issued appropriate contractual documentation in relation to appointments, terminations and variations of employment conditions;
  • Ensured the organisation was kept up to date and make informed recommendations on current trends, legislative changes, Awards and HR developments;
  • Supported the delivery of Power Community Limited programs, speaking at schools in rural SA, including Clare and the Riverland in regards to women in leadership and sport;


COVID-19

  • Worked in newly created Mission Critical Team at commencement of March 2020;
  • Responsible for providing up to the minute JobKeeper legislation changes to CEO;
  • Advised and implemented with Senior Leaders with initial StandDown of 95% Administration Staff;
  • Managed the implementation of JobKeeper as per legislative requirements to staff and players;
  • Drove and conducted with Senior Leaders and CEO of over 40 redundancies due to COVID-19;
  • Prepared relevant documentation and provided to CEO;
  • Provided staff with one-on-one support and Employee Assistance Program support;
  • Implemented wellness checks;


Risk Management

  • Responsible for updating the CFO with Governance & Integrity issues;
  • Ensure all AFL minimum standards and KPI’s are met on a monthly & annual basis;
  • Maintain knowledge of state legislative requirements;
  • Game day presence: to complete all safety checks and risk management requirements at each PAFC home game as well as other major events;


WH&S

  • Ensured compliance and governance for the HR/Risk function by effective communication, management and execution of CEO and Board actions;
