• Jun 2022 To Aug 2022 Pediatric Rotation

King Saud Hospital | Unaizah,SaudiArabia 

As a clinical pharmacy intern, I completed a pediatric rotation where I gained valuable experience in providing patient care for children. During this rotation, I worked closely with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients received the best possible care.  
My responsibilities included reviewing patients' medication regimens, monitoring for potential drug interactions and adverse effects, and optimizing dosing based on age, weight, and other factors. I also provided education to parents and caregivers on proper medication administration and management.
Through this rotation, I developed strong communication and collaboration skills, as well as a deep understanding of the unique challenges and considerations involved in caring for pediatric patients. Overall, my pediatric rotation was a valuable learning experience that prepared me to provide excellent pharmaceutical care to patients of all ages.

As a clinical pharmacy intern, I had the opportunity to complete a pharmacy practice rotation where I was able to apply my knowledge and skills in a practical setting. During this rotation, I was able to work closely with clinical pharmacists to provide patient-centered care.
My main responsibilities during this rotation included medication reconciliation, patient counseling, drug information retrieval, and participation in interdisciplinary rounds. I also had the opportunity to assist in the management of various disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart failure.
Through this rotation, I gained valuable experience in the areas of medication therapy management, patient education, and communication with healthcare professionals. I also developed my clinical judgment and decision-making skills, which are essential in the field of pharmacy.
Overall, my pharmacy practice rotation as a clinical pharmacy intern provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the role of clinical pharmacists in healthcare and reinforced my passion for patient-centered care.

• Oct 2022 To Nov 2022 ICU Rotation

Security Forces Hospital | Riyadh 

As a clinical pharmacy intern, I completed a rotation in the intensive care unit (ICU) where I gained valuable experience in providing pharmaceutical care to critically ill patients. During this rotation, I worked closely with the medical team to optimize medication therapy for patients with complex medical conditions such as sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome.
My responsibilities included conducting medication histories, monitoring drug therapy, identifying and resolving drug therapy problems, and making recommendations to the medical team regarding medication therapy. I also participated in multidisciplinary rounds, provided drug information to healthcare providers, and collaborated with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Through this rotation, I further developed my clinical knowledge and skills, particularly in the areas of critical care medicine and pharmacotherapy. I also honed my communication and teamwork abilities, working closely with healthcare providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Overall, my ICU rotation provided me with a solid foundation for my future career as a clinical pharmacist.

• Nov 2022 To Dec 2022 ID Rotation

Prince Sultan Military Medical City  | Riyadh 

As a Clinical Pharmacist, I have experience in ID (Infectious Diseases) Rotation in which I have gained extensive knowledge in the management of infectious diseases. During my ID rotation, I have worked with healthcare professionals, including infectious disease physicians and microbiologists, to provide evidence-based recommendations for the appropriate use of antimicrobial agents, including antibiotics and antivirals. I have also been involved in the management of patients with various infectious diseases, including bacterial infections, viral infections, and fungal infections. Through my ID rotation, I have learned how to assess patients, interpret lab results, and provide appropriate treatment plans based on the individual patient's needs. My experience in ID rotation has allowed me to develop my critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are essential for providing high-quality patient care.

During my internal medicine rotation as a clinical pharmacy student, I had the opportunity to work alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. I was responsible for reviewing medication orders, monitoring drug therapies, and ensuring that patients were receiving the most effective and safe treatments possible. I also participated in patient rounds and provided medication counseling to patients and their families. Through this experience, I gained a deeper understanding of the role of pharmacists in the healthcare team and the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in providing quality patient care.

I worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for product development and launch. I also gained hands-on experience in conducting clinical trials and interpreting data for regulatory submission.
Moreover, I had the opportunity to observe the sales and marketing processes and understand how they drive the success of a pharmaceutical company. Overall, my rotation at SERVIER has enhanced my knowledge and skills in the pharmaceutical industry and has prepared me for future career opportunities.

During my time at Axantia Company, I participated in a Pharmaceutical Company rotation program where I gained valuable experience in various departments. I was able to develop my skills in research and development, quality assurance, marketing, and sales.
In the research and development department, I gained hands-on experience in drug discovery and development. I worked on various projects, including pre-clinical and clinical trials, and gained an understanding of the regulatory requirements for drug approvals.
In the quality assurance department, I learned about the importance of ensuring that products meet regulatory standards and how to conduct quality control tests. This experience provided me with insight into the importance of maintaining high-quality standards in a pharmaceutical company.
In the marketing and sales department, I learned how to promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and consumers. This experience helped me develop communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential in the pharmaceutical industry.
