Hello, I'm Lachlan but I go Lachy. I'm in my early 20's and am currently working in customer service for Jetstar at Adelaide Airport. I love travelling and hope to one day visit all seven wonders of the world (really original, I know). When I'm not working I enjoy playing video games, reading books and keeping up with my favourite shows and movies. I am applying for this position to take the next step in my career and I look forward to hearing from you.
Working at Jetstar has taught me that I really am much more capable than I thought. Everyday we face new challenges and this job shows me that there isn't anything that couldn't go wrong but the key to getting through the madness is working as a team and using each and every persons skills and knowledge to achieve the goal at hand. Everyday I use my training and experience to help customers through challenging situations including flight disruptions, reservation problems, mishandled baggage and navigating the chaos of the airport. It's an incredibly rewarding job and I love the fact that there is always something more to learn.
My position at Bunnings required me to receive and manage stock from suppliers and other Bunnings locations, invoicing, inventory management and most importantly safety for my fellow colleagues and site visitors. It was a high demand job that required good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve a desired outcome.
My role at Drakes had me performing a wide range of tasks including ordering and receiving stock and inventory management. During this time I was also the weeknight Duty Manager. I was responsible for the safety of customers and staff across multiple departments. I was in this role during the Covid-19 pandemic which brought plenty of challenges such as social distancing and irregular supplies of stock from suppliers.
