Duties and Responsibilities :
• Maintains high standards of patient care delivery in the assigned unit
• Provides nursing care to patients and support families whilst on duty, under supervision of SN 1 and Charge Nurse.
•Implements the policies, procedures and guidelines of nursing services and other hospital department when giving care of patients.
•Ensure that patient privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times.
•Under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse, assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs.
I. Sets goals in conjunction with the patient and significant others
II. Delivers appropriates nursing care interventions to meet the goals.
III. Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing care action by critical appraisal of patients outcomes.
•Under supervision of Charge Nurse, administers medications and performs treatments in accordance with established standards, polices and procedure guidelines.
•Maintains concise, accurate and timely nursing records.
•Cooperates with medical and paramedical staff in implementing multi-disciplinary and nursing activities for patients care delivery.
•Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to the appropriate persons (Charge Nurse) and records those observation accurately.
•Keeps the charge nurse and head nurse informed about patient care problems and other issues,
•Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning documentation outcomes and understanding of the patients and family expectations..
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Orientation, Physical examination, taking vital signs, reporting and recording.
• Assist in special diagnostic procedures like lumbar puncture etc..
• Starting intravenous line
• Administrating IV fluids, blood and blood products, drugs.
• Take care of long term patients with Tracheotomy, catheter, general care
• Pre –operative preparation and post-operative care of patients
• Follows universal precaution while during any procedures
• Meeting patients and surrounding hygiene.
• Orientation, Physical examination, taking vital signs, reporting and recording.
• Assist in special diagnostic procedures like lumbar puncture etc..
