Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning, coordinating and directing all cost estimating activities on large and complex projects or groups of projects.
• Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the team to confirm the complete scope.
• Reviews general conditions, schedule, scope of work, site logistics and other construction variables.
• Maintains and communicates data on construction and material cost trends affecting project costs.
• Understand estimated ratios and metrics and compare them against established benchmarks. Ensure final estimate packages are responsive thorough, accurate, staffing, financial considerations, quality, and complete.
• Provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
• Develop a new economic evaluation model with various requirements as needed.
• Analyze alternates and methods to determine the most economical alternative.
• Keep updated on the local economy, politics, and social conditions along with national policies that might affect project prices.
• Facilitate the Stage-Gate project approval process by providing a standard set of economic and financial evaluation criteria to justify investment /expenditure decisions.
• Regularly monitor new bid projects and correlate the results on local and world market conditions.
• Make recommendations, suggestions, and updates on the forecast of prices of future projects.
• Submit regular reports on comprehensive market studies to the management.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Planned, coordinated and executed estimating and proposal systems and methods according to company standards and policies.
• Preparing and analyzing detailed estimating plans, overall cost estimates and summaries, detailed estimate reports and basis of estimate write-ups.
• Review and develop a new economic evaluation model with various requirements in order to analyze project alternatives and methods to determine the most economical alternative.
• Resource and personnel management: interviewing, hiring, and training employee-owners; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee-owners; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Develop, implement and drive continuous improvement of estimating and economic analysis standards, policies, processes, tools and techniques.

• Prepare and review Cost Estimates from the Pre-conceptual/Conceptual to the Final stage of the project
• Analyze project packages and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Assess the cost effectiveness of projects tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Develop project cost benchmarking utilizing the in-house and international project cost norms
• Preparation of Cost estimate report highlighting scope of work, basis of estimate covering cost norms and methods utilized, benchmarking, exclusions & qualifications to the estimate and cost reconciliation with respect to previous cost estimate at the earlier stage of the project
• Develop risk analysis to aid in setting the contingency for estimates
• Review of Cost Estimation methodology and cost estimates prepared by others
• Supporting project management with counter-cost estimates for variation orders
• Prepare and review economic evaluation for different types of alternatives
• Analyze alternates and methods to determine the most economical alternative

• Analyze project packages and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
• Prepare cost estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
• Prepare cost estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors
• Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
• Establish and maintain the tendering process and conduct negotiations
• Develop initial quantity take-off based on scope of work (SOW) and sketches or drawings
• Develop and update estimating unit rates for engineering, materials and construction
• Evaluate cost trends and escalation factors and update the database for reference in estimating

• Monitor and analyze actual transmission project expenditures for engineering, materials, construction contracts, support costs, and overheads
• Prepare monthly status reports of approved capital projects and initiate corrective actions when actual commitments and expenditures exceed the approved plan
• Prepare budget item addition/change request and appropriation for expenditures of transmission projects
• Prepare bid analysis between actual contract bid prices and the budget estimates
• Review contractors' progress billing on transmission projects and recommend approval for payment
• Prepare input to the capital budget accountability reports and variance explanations

• Perform planning & scheduling activities on proposed and ongoing transmission capital projects
• Prepare commitment and expenditure cash flow forecast in accordance with the approved project schedule
• Update commitment and expenditure cash flow forecast
• Prepare a milestone date for all Transmission projects
• Prepare Transmission Five-Years Capital Plan and Annual Capital Budget
• Coordinate with Proponents of transmission projects proposed for inclusion in the capital plan to obtain essential information necessary for capital budgeting and project scheduling

• Gaining knowledge about all typical banking transactions at the bank training center
• Acting as a teller and customer service representative at the branch
• Familiarize with various banking functions through rotational assignments (e.g
• Treasury, credit card, trade, local shares and brokerage)
