  • Effectively managed the job cycle starting from understanding Saudi Aramco’s objective, proper diligent service preparation at base, flawless execution at wellsite, and documenting post job paperwork including lessons learnt and incident closure.
  • Performed static deployment Orpheus model using Cerberus to analyze axial force, wellbore friction, fluid shear and pressure drag on wireline deployment to explore deployment risk mitigation policies that can help the tools reach bottom of the well safely.
  • Build Quality and Hazard Risk Assessment workflow to help Saudi Aramco make responsible decisions when executing difficult operations like extended reach multi-lateral wells requiring deployment on drill pipe under non-ideal wellbore conditions.
  • Coordinated with customers and internal clients to accomplish specific needs and deliver individualized services.
  • Ensured the wellsite team continues to work safely performing proper operational risk assessment to identify hazards and verify the controls / barriers are in place before performing any operation.
  • Continued to maintain zero Total Recordable Incident Rates and Motor Vehicle Accidents in gas division.
  • Understood key financial statements and cost of revenue to affect the income statement in a way that generates positive cash flow.
  • Significantly reduced billing cycle and helped with revenue recognition by reducing lapse days and effectively reducing Days Sales Outstanding.
  • Made sure to accrue any 3rd party service cost in a timely manner, manage inventory and track equipment location to make sure C-RAD is updated correctly for radioactive tool movements.

Wireline Field Engineer

Baker Hughes
Dhahran, Saudi Arabia
03.2013 - 01.2019
  • Deployed on rigs in remote land and offshore locations as a second engineer, working up to the lead engineer position, on weeklong operations managing a crew of four evaluating pilot hole, delineation, and workover wells.
  • Led onsite work delivering accurate wireline logs for customer to draw critical well information from interpreting travel time plots from zero offset downhole seismic data.
  • Also, delivering acoustic, nuclear and resistivity plots to identify different formation tops and boundaries, their fracture and dipping information using borehole image logs, porosity and permeability data through fluid typing and coring samples, and finally taking downhole formation samples while performing in situ fluid analyzation.
  • Helped Saudi Aramco get sensitive well integrity data by performing cement evaluation jobs with 1,500 psi surface pressure under Critical to HSE conditions using Life Critical equipment like wireline grease injection head and blowout preventer (BOP).
  • Delivered data from over 200 wells with average 97.7% efficiency deploying Baker Hughes wireline tools while navigating depths as deep as ~20,000 ft and maximum temperature of 335 oF.
  • Licensed job site Radiation Safety Officer with license from King Abdullah City of Atomic and Renewable Energy.

Significant Contributions

  • Managed operations in Gas Division where competitor service company was replaced on wells with particularly challenging long lateral, slim hole, and high temperature profile.
  • Helped secure Baker Hughes’ position as Formation Lithology service provider in challenging high temperature deviated wells to be logged on drill pipe in Saudi Arabia.
  • In charge of operations where Baker Hughes was requested to fill technology gap on competitor LSTK site to be able to cut stuck 4 inch drill pipe in long lateral well.
  • Supervised operations on the longest tubing conveyed perforation interval in past 5 years of Baker Hughes’ history in Saudi Arabia.
  • Successfully delivered MNSR-2, a Gas Wildcat evaluation well, part of CO2 Injection Project for Saudi Aramco. The successful execution of the job was recognized by the region for completing 422 hours and 24 MicroFrac stations, the highest number of stations done worldwide on a single assignment.

  • Devised a method to perform primary depth correction in wells and use Cerberus friction coefficient analysis along with stretch correction charts, while logging CN-GR-CCL inside casing, and depth correct for stretch and measure wheel error. This method was used on wells were client would ask us to perform a casing pass as primary log and then depth correct OH logs on drill pipe to previous casing pass.
