*Responsible for bed utilization, follow up for admitting and discharging Patients to the hospital, facilitating referral cases Acceptance.

*Follow up difficult discharge patient by Coordination with other department to achieve the patient needs and transferring the patient for long-term facility if Candidate for that.

* Attending daily Multidisciplinary Team Round and coordinate patients discharge plan

*Participating in unit and hospital quality improvement projects to improve quality of care.

*Attending Daily hospital Nursing Huddle as Case Management representative.

*Participate in JCI, CBAHI, and MAGNET Accreditation.

*Area: Intensive Care Unit

*Bed Capacity: 16 bed of Oncology Patient

* Responsible of narcotic and controlled drugs through Pyxis system

* Running the ICU unit through arranging and coordinating for the admission and discharge of the patients

* Active member in the code blue team

* Active member in the rapid response team

* participating in the morning ICU doctors round

* A member in nurse practice committee

No. of beds :

13 intensive care bed with 13 available ventilators included:

2 Beds – Isolation

1 Bed – Renal Dialysis

Nurse-Patient Ratio :

1 : 2 in all beds

Cases Handled :

All cases with medical and surgical emergencies and patients who need Homodynamic monitoring ( excluding cardiac cases ) , such as :

· Road Traffic Accidents (RTA)

· Respiratory disease ( COPD , ARDS , Asthma , Pneumothorax , …)

· Neuroscience cases ( CVA , ICH , SAH , MG MS , GBS , Brain and Spinal cord injuries)

· Medical cases ( DKA , ARF , MODS , Septic shock , Hypovolemic shock )

· Post Major Surgeries For Homodynamic monitoring .

Duties:

* Providing comprehensive nursing care for patients including hourly monitoring, vital sign documentation, neuro-sign(GCS), Intake and output chart .

* Attending multidisciplinary daily round and carry out the physician orders.

* Checking of intubation kit, emergency trolley and dressing trolley.

* Assisting in procedure such as Intubation, central line insertion, Tracheostomy creation, PEG tube insertion.
