  • I am an Adnyamathanha woman from the Northern Flinders Ranges, South Australia. I have over 35 years experience in Aboriginal affairs, working in community development and project management, with experience in both Federal and State government programs.. I will bring national and state relationships to the team, having delivered programs to Aboriginal Communities and individuals across the State of SA including the APY Lands, and in my most recent role working with communities and Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and stakeholders in all states and territories.
  • The Project Officer plays a key role in supporting TIS regional grant recipients to connect them with the support available from the NBPU TIS. I work closely with the Manager to identify, develop and deliver evidence-based support to regional grant recipients. I commenced in this role as a Project Officer with the Jurisdictional responsibilities of Western Australia and the Northern Territory. I was then promoted to Senior Project Officer in May 2021.
  • The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in overseeing the support provided to TIS regional grant recipients to connect them with quality resources, tools and information. The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the Manager to ensure development and delivery of evidence-based support to regional grant recipients is established and maintained.

  • AFSS is currently the only Gazetted organisation in South Australia that provides a Cultural Consultancy program. My role expects me to provide advocacy, consultation and cultural advice in child protection matters relating to Aboriginal children and young children within the Youth Court applications and Family Care Meetings.
  • My role expects me to provide a written response to the Care and Protection Application that is provided by the Department for Child Protection. I am also required to attend Family Care Meetings which are convened by the Conference Unit to ensure that these meetings are run in a culturally appropriate manner and ensure that any plans made at these meetings take into account the children’s cultural needs
