Duties and Responsibilities as an Acting Welding Supervisor

  • Review project scope of work for Quality inspection requirements.
  • Continuously monitoring the performance of the welders in reference to the weekly WRR (Weld rejection rate).
  • Responsible for the availability of Company’s Quality Manual.
  • Monitoring the daily welds & Reviewing of the welding summery reports.
  • Responsible for the implementation of project Quality inspection requirements
  • Assist, prepare & submit Project Quality Plan (PQP) for the project requirements.
  • Assist, prepare & submit Quality Control Procedure (QCP) for approval.
  • Prepare necessary Quality documents, submittals for client third party inspection.
  • Responsible for the preparation and coordination for internal Quality audits.
  • Maintain Quality Management Information System (QMIS)/Enterprise Process Management (EPM) up-to-date record.
  • Monitor QC personnel and their respective job assignments.

Duties and Responsibilities as a Welding Inspector

  • Raising RFI’s on daily bases for activities.
  • Verifying the Daily RFI Log and Coordinate with Inspectors for Closure
  • Documentation, Inspection, material receiving of welding consumables and materials.
  • Inspection of Calibration of welding Equipment’s.
  • Maintaining daily fit-up, welding consumables reports and daily welding reports.
  • Responsible for making weekly and cumulative weld reports.
  • Witnessing / monitoring of welding activities to ensure Quality as per Project requirements, ITP and approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS).
  • Verifying all the Welding activities follows the applicable code & standard.
  • Administering and coordinating all activities in conjunction with the execution of PQP.

Responsibilities as a Piping QC Inspector

  • Verify and inspects the material and fittings, gaskets flanges, as per specification and bill of materials.
  • Verify alignment of piping connections, fit-up etc.
  • Line check prior to hydro test, to verify the entire work in the test limits has been completed as per isometric and project quality control procedures /specifications /standards.
  • Monitor and inspects nuts and stud bolts as per BOM (bill of materials) and correct size and type, and all the pipe and pipe supports installed according to the approved drawing and specification.
  • Visual inspection of flanges, gaskets, and bolts, prior to installation.
  • Package review and monitor the test package is in accordance with the approved procedure.
  • Inspection of valves, type of valves, direction of valve installed, and valve handle orientation, valve tag number, flange rating & size, vales operation and maintenance access.
  • Perform inspection and test activities including supervision monitoring of entire activities a site and preparing reports.
  • Prepare punch items, prior to release for hydro testing according to the punch list category.
  • Responsible for supervision, inspection and quality control of entire mechanical activities, such as erection of steel structure, static equipment erection inspections, insulation hot & cold, and structural bolt tightening inspection.
