- To Lead and supervise the team to check that all contract obligations and conditions are fulfilled, monitor progress, measure, and assure the project scope is performed as planned and within the budget, dealing with claims considering the project Condition of Contract and to check and approve payments and Variation Orders
- Review and approve the Project schedule as per the contract documents
- Manage and phase the duties for the staff to suit the construction program
- Draft variation orders as a guide to the Employer
- Assessment of contractor claims and entitlement for time extension (EOT) along with prolongation cost
- Raise to the Employer Engineer recommendation to grant the Contractor EOT, cost impact and variation orders entitlement
- Manage work, ensuring it is executed according to the contract documents, and that the materials, equipment, and workmanship comply with the specifications
- Check tests carried out at the site, and to spot check materials
- Issue related instructions documents to the contractor including Letters, NCRs, and field Memos
- Obtain approval for using alternative material other than specified- if not available- in agreement with the client or his representative, if required
- Submit regular periodic progress reports (Daily, Weekly, biweekly, and Monthly) to the Employer as per project requirements
- Assure proper filing and documentation of related records of inspections, variations, and testing through Documentation system such as Oracle ACONEX
- Approve and certify work performed by the contractor according to the payment certificate issued by the contractor
- Record any changes or deviations from the original IFC drawings and contract documents and raise the issue to Change control board as per the approved change management system mechanism
- Update project staff on any matter, which may affect their work efficiency
- Attend site meetings, record, and approve minutes of meetings
- Assure audit activities are attended and results are reacted
- Review as-built drawings, O/ M manuals, guarantees etc
- Before preliminary handover
- Conduct preliminary and final handing over of the project and issue taking over certificate (TOC) and final payment certificate
