• Perform review and interpretation of Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTFI) and PAUT data, evaluate indications in accordance with applicable code acceptance criteria, and provide recommendations for weld acceptance, rejection, or repair.
• Coordinate and arrange third-party NDT inspection services in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare and implement NDT inspection plans for piping, boiler, HRSG, and pressure part welding activities.
• Review and verify NDT procedures, personnel qualifications, and equipment calibration certificates before inspection activities.
• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and third party inspection agencies for scheduling and execution of NDT activities.
• Monitor and witness RT, PAUT, TOFD, UT, MT, PT, PMI, Hardness Testing, Ferrite Testing, and Replica Metallurgical Examination activities.
• Ensure all NDT examinations are performed in compliance with ASME Section I, ASME Section V, ASME B31.1, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Review and evaluate NDT reports for compliance with applicable acceptance criteria and code requirements.
• Maintain NDT traceability records and ensure proper documentation of inspection results.
• Prepare NDT status reports, inspection summaries, and progress updates for management and clients.
• Coordinate repair welding activities based on NDT findings and ensure re-inspection of repaired welds.
• Monitor Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) activities and verify compliance with approved procedures and project requirements.
• Coordinate hardness testing after PWHT and review results against specified acceptance criteria.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality related issues and monitor corrective actions until closure.
• Participate in quality meetings, client inspections, audits, and technical discussions related to welding and NDT activities.
• Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQTR).
• Verify material identification and traceability through Material Test Certificates (MTCs), PMI testing, and inspection records.
• Ensure inspection hold points, witness points, and surveillance activities are performed as specified in approved ITPs.
• Coordinate with construction and welding teams to ensure inspection readiness and timely completion of quality activities.
• Maintain inspection dossiers and quality records for project turnover and final documentation.
• Support preparation of quality dossiers, turnover packages, and final handover documentation to clients.
• Monitor compliance with project quality requirements and recommend corrective actions to improve welding and inspection performance.
• Assist in resolving technical issues related to weld quality, NDT interpretation, and code compliance.
• Ensure all inspection activities are carried out safely and in accordance with project HSE requirements.
• Track NDT productivity, repair rates, and inspection trends to improve overall project quality performance.
