QA/QC Inspection Engineer (Mechanical/Painting) & Welding Inspector a competent professional with almost 17 Years of work experience in mechanical,coating,welding,NDT, fasteners & Air cooled heat Exchangers.
· Demonstrated skills in inspection activities. Ensuring compliance to quality standards and maintaining all related documents.
· Handled Air Cooled heat Exchanger, Fasteners testing & final inspection with clients like ARAMCO and SABIC in Saudi Arabia. Proficient in undertaking QC activities related to Fabrication, Erection, Coating, Welding, testing of Air cooled heat exchangers in accordance with ASME B16.5, and ASME sec VIII & sec IX and Project specification.
My responsibilities during the project included but not limited to the following tasks:
· Material Inspection and MTC review of incoming materials such as Header Plates, Flanges, Nozzle Pipes, Tubes, Plugs, Threaded rods and Welding consumables.
· Review of all approved Quality procedures, welder’s qualifications & welding procedure specification.
· Review of all NDE procedures & Technicians approval of all third-party agencies.
· Checking the proper maintenance for all required test certificates concerning with materials, verifying the qualifying certificates of workmen and calibration certificates of equipment’s and instruments
· Verification of electrode issuance data and verifying weather all the welding machine & electrode ovens are calibrated to date.
· Ensure the effective implementation of quality system procedure.
· Monitor/Perform inspection and tests as specified in the Quality Control Plan in line with applicable drawings, codes, standards, and client specification.
· Carrying out all stage wise inspection activities in the ongoing job and ensure that all operations being carried out in the shop as per the approved standards and procedures.
· Inspection of Hydrostatic tests, Pneumatic tests, Mechanical Run test, Vibration and Noise Measurement of Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers.
· Inspection of Surface coating activities such as blasting, painting, pickling and passivation.
· Issue and Administer Non-Conformance Reports as necessary and ensure Follow ups.
· Perform prior, in-process and final inspection of welding activities; marking of welds on isometric drawings; recording of completed field/shop weld.
· Ensure welding process, preheat & inter-pass temperature are in accordance with the approved specification.
· Monitor & witness of welding parameters for the process such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW.
· Monitor welder performance and to ensure that they are performed with the limits of their qualification.
· Witnessing of hardness test, NDT, PWHT and PMI to verify they comply with project specification and standards.
· Verifying RT film interpretation & witnessing the weld repair activity.
· Issue of Non-conformance report & verifying of corrective / preventive action.
· Preparation of weekly status of welder rejection rate and project weld status.
· Final verification of the pipeline with weld summary and test reports before hydro test to be conducted.
· Review of test packages and line checking for final inspection and preparing the punch list.
· Submitting the final quality documentation to the client for their reference and record keeping.
Job Profile

● Verifiy the Traceability of incoming material.

● Witnessing Climatic conditions like air.
● Monitoring the paint storage room in order to maintain the temperature and Relative Humidity as per the Data sheet.
● Witnessing the Air Pressure, Air quality and steel temperature during Blasting and coating application.
● Ensure the use of correct blasting and coating materials as per the requirements of purchase order, applicable procedure and paint data sheet.
● Visually inspection the Abrasives(Garnet) for any contamination.
● Ensure that correct type of equipment and instruments are used for blasting and coating activities.
● Knowledge of surface preparation(Profile and cleanliness) as per relevant codes,Standards & Specification.
● Inspection of Header and structure coating for DFT, Adhesion & Surface finish.
● Preparations of NCR
● Control of materials at entry.
● Knowledge of Pressure gauges calibration.
● Air cooler (Fin Fan Cooler) QC Inspection activities as per API 661 Seventh edition July 2013,ASME VIII div 1 DHTS QCP and DHTS procedures.
● Familiar with Hydrostatic test Inspection activites for Fin fan cooler Bundles.
● Preparing punch list and cordinate with fin fan cooler assembly team for punch clearance and offer Final Inspection.
● Knowledge of Run Performance test.
● Knowledge of Vibration Performance test.
● Knowledge of Noise Performance test.
● Knowledge of Air flow Performance test.
● Control & Follow up workshop operations (Finning,Tubing,Header plugging, tube to tube sheet joints expansion & welding, Final visual & dimensional inspection, DHTS name plate verification, Fin Fan Bundle draining, Bundle Drying, N2 Puring, Bundle finishing & DFT check,Air leak test, Bounding test for fin tubes, Final assembly of Headers,Final assembly of Modules, Abrasive Blasting & surface coating).
● Attend NDE visual & dimensional inspection.
● Responsibilities also include preparation of MRB & documents distribution.
● Follow up daily works reports.
● Update report status,inspection status & Inspection Records.
● Knowledge of prepration of QCP supplimentary sheet.
● On site inspections(blasting,Painting, mechanical tube leak,Expansion, Plug leak Hydrostatic pressure test ,Run test/Vibration test,Noise test etc).
