Mohammad Jawad Alamgir

I am working as consultant Neurologist at Tertiary care referral center hospital.

I have a dynamic position providing inpatient care, outpatient consultation services and teaching role.

At inpatient I am covering on call Rota; patients are admitted under my care from Emergency department and electively from the clinic at the neurology ward, stroke unit and ICU according to the need of the patients. Our hospital is referral center for acute stroke management with facilities of IVT and EVT and stroke unit. Also providing services for patients at day care for doing procedures like LP for csf analysis and infusions of biological agents for patients of multiple sclerosis and IVIG and PLEX for patients of GBS and Myasthenia Graves crisis.

At out patient’s clinics; I am running 3/ week neurology consultation clinics as general neurology clinics for patients of epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Neuro immunology, Movement disorder, Headache disorders and stroke/TIA.

I do reporting for EEG and NCS/ EMG.

I have established excellent teaching capabilities

I am involved in teaching activities for trainees of Saudi Board candidates as moderation of daily morning meetings, I do lead the daily teaching rounds also bed side teaching and tutorials and supervise journal club meetings.

I also conduct research.

• As a neurologist, I have Special Interest in Epilepsy reading EEGs and NCS reporting, Management of Acute Stroke- Thrombolysis, Neuro Immunology and Movement disorders.
