Project: Corrosion Management of Dead-Legs

Role: Chemical Engineering Trainee

Organization: University of Akron, Jan 2019 - May 2019

Objective:

- Design project to minimize the damage caused by corrosion in the closed ends of oil pipelines network known as “dead legs” by using various corrosion controlling methods such as biocides based on metal type and environment.

-Minimize future maintenance cost and prevent corrosion in pipeline network by improving monitoring methods and corrosion management plan.

Project: External Corrosion Direct Assessment

Role: Chemical Engineering Trainee

Organization: University of Akron, Aug 2018 - Dec 2018

Objective:

- The goal of the project was to have hands-on experience with different methods of identifying and measuring anomalies in an underground pipeline then translating results using spreadsheet to show the type and size of anomalies.

- The methods used includes indirect close interval survey.

Project: Cathodic Protection Design

Role: Chemical Engineering Trainee

Organization: University of Akron, Aug 2018 - Dec 2018

Objective:

- The goal of the project was to design an impressed cathodic protection system for gas transmission lateral pipelines in Ohio Michigan and Ontario Canada.
