  • Project Name: Electrical tunnels for TSEP, TSEP Power Grids
  • The electrical tunnels considered one of the biggest infrastructure projects on the area, located in Makkah central with length for over then 5200m with depth of 50m excavated by TBM
  • The other project contain 380/110k.v switching station and four 110/13.8k.v sub-station with the 380,110,13.8 feeders.
  • Applied value engineering on the project design after reassessing the changes occur on stakeholder requirements and projects portfolio.
  • This VE led to de-scoping, which been beneficial for project by reduce project cost around 1.9 billion SR and duration around one year, while keeping the quality as per the project specifications, as well stakeholder and end user requirements achieved.
  • Managing all the aspect of both projects from construction, engineering and stakeholder managing.

  • Project Name: Makkah First Ring Road, (MFRR)
  • Surrounding Al Haram in the Holy City of Makkah, the MFRR is 4600m length including bridges, surface roads, and tunnels with the respective utility buildings including Generator Plant, Electrical Substation Building, Fire Pump Stations, Main Control Room.
  • Applied value engineering on the project design package, in addition to a design review to minimize the project cost while keeping the quality as per the project specifications and the client requirements.
  • Studied the submitted subcontractor's tender documents and pre-qualification documents ad selected the appropriate applicants for the required tasks.
  • Managing the handover and closeout stage.
  • Witnessed factory acceptance tests (FAT) and third-party tests for electrical materials and equipment to ensure that the materials' quality meet the project specifications.
  • Liaised with Saudi Electricity Company, SEC, for acquiring the main electrical power supply feeders.
  • Submitted the Project's Handover documents to the client, including O&M Manual, Warranty Certificates, etc.
  • Coordinated with the project's end users, Makkah Municipality and The presidency for affairs of the grand mosque, to acquire their operation requirements.
  • Submitted the Project's Snag List to the client and followed up with the contractor to rectify and close.
  • Supervised the installation and managed the site activities including the site acceptance testing (SAT) of the electrical equipment.
  • This is including the installation and testing of the following items: Medium Voltage Switchgears, Transformers, MDB, and UPS.
  • Stand-by diesel generators with the relevant synchronizing panels, ATS, and distribution boards.
  • TMCS system, including smoke management system, visibility sensor, infrared combined sensor as (CO,NO,NO2,air velocity),Radon sensor, fuel leak sensor and pressure sensor.
  • Fire alarm system, including flame detector, linear heat detector and FACP with the relevant workstation.
  • MV SCADA system, including PLC,RTU,SERVER&NETWOR cabinets and workstations.

  • Project Name: Kudai Bus Station / Jabal AlKaaba Bus Station.
  • Jabal al Kaaba and Kudai Transit Stations are multi-modal transit hubs to be constructed nearby Al Haram in the Holy City of Makkah between the inner and outer ring roads and along major pilgrimage streets.
  • Reviewed the electrical material submittals, ensuring that the materials are in line with the project specifications and meet all the client's/ stakeholders' requirements and country codes.
  • Reviewed the submitted shop drawings by the contractor with reference to the respective design drawings and international standard guidelines (i.e.; IEC, NFPA, etc.).
  • Reviewed the BOD report and the concept design submittal to ensure compliance with the international standards and the country codes.
  • Played a key role in the materials selection processes through continuous coordination with suppliers to meet project specifications and design requirements.
  • Provided full support for the contractor's team which solved most of the technical issues.

  • Project Name: Abraj Kudai a landmark multifunctional development in the vicinity of Makkah Holy Haram on a site area of 64,000 m² with a direct access to Haram piazza for both pedestrian and vehicular circulations.
  • The project consists of a large podium spread on the entire site, accommodating bus station, shopping mall, restaurants, food courts, conference center and car-parks; 12 towers on top of the podium varying from 30 storeys to 48 storeys for residential and hotel uses; and helipads on top of 4 towers.
  • Total built-up area: 1.5 million m².
  • The project comprises state-of-the-art electrical systems, including power supply, MV/LV network and switchgears, step-down transformers, central generators plant, lighting in addition to a SCADA system for monitoring, data collection and control of all electrical components and networks.
  • Reviewing and approving all the planning documents submitted by the contractor.
  • Reviewing and approving all submitted method statement before its scheduled start on site.
  • Reviewing contractor submittals and checking their compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Monitors contractor progress according to the approved time program, also production rates of main activities.
  • Managing all requests for inspections request (IR), materials inspections request (MIR), factory acceptance test (FAT), site acceptance test (SAT), test and commissioning (T&C).
  • Provided full support for the contractor's team which solved most of the technical and site issues efficiently.
