• Develop and implement procurement strategies to source materials, equipment, and services in alignment with project requirements and budget constraints.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure optimum cost and reliable supply where practical.
• Evaluate tender rates for subsequent negotiations to secure the most favorable price.
• Get the final BOQ from the budget / Estimation team as per final design prior to the commencement of the project and plan to procure the long lead items to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure subcontract / vendor material submittals comply with project specifications.
• Support estimation department with vendor suggestions, value engineering proposals and quotations as required during project tendering.
• Participate in the full RFI/RFP/RFQ process from the drafting stage until the awarding/ selection process.
• Approve purchase orders, LOI, LOA, Sub-contract agreements and service agreement as per DOA.
• Preparing project procurement plan consisting of procurement strategy (including proposed vendors), package procurement summary and Master procurement schedule for assigned projects (Weekly and Monthly).
• Overseeing and examining the quantity estimation to ensure that it is done in full accordance with the drawings, technical specifications, and billings of quantities.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility and working on the same.
• Contributing to vendor evaluation process and monitor results for repeat work with vendors.
• Performing risk assessments on current/ potential contracts and agreements and notifying the management.
• Attend Mid-tender / Post Tender meeting with subcontractors and project team as required.
• Manage and oversee logistics function for project material requirements.
