• Understanding of how to handle, store, and receive pipe materials.
• Incoming material inspection and review of material certificates to check mechanical strength and chemical composition values in accordance with ASME codes and applicable project specifications.
• Release accepted materials to fabrication and follow up to return the rejected material to the supplier for the replacement.
• Stage- wise inspection before, during, and after fabrication.
• Monitor and carry out day-to-day fabrication and inspection activities such as marking, cutting, edge preparation, fit-up, welding, and assembly work.
• Final Inspection and releasing Spools for Painting of Pre-Fabricated Piping Systems.
• Review and maintain calibration records of inspection and testing equipment.
• Understanding the pipeline lowering package and being present when lowering operations take place.
• Awareness of the site-associated operations linked to the installation of valves.
• Co-ordinate and send requests for inspection (RFI) to clients and third-party inspectors as per ITP make-ups.
• Conducting of toolbox meetings.
• Perform inspection of material receiving inspection of valves, valve testing, and preservation.
• Preparation of punch list of piping system as per isometric drawing.
• As pipe spools are being installed, observe the progressive internal cleaning and air blowing examination.
• Do line inspection as per test packages prior to the hydro test.
• Line walk and Punch List & Punch closing before Hydro Test.
• Before and during the hydro test inspection, carry out the test preparation inspection, internal cleaning, filling, and pressurization.
• Witnessing of hydro tests (Strength & Tightness), service tests, leak tests, and pneumatic tests.
• Receiving inspection of pipe and fitting by referring MTC.
• Knowledge about the temperature tie-in inspection.
• Proficiency with pipe documentation.
• Knowledge about the pipe bending activates.
• Excellent aware of the test package review process.
• Knowledge about the layup inspection.
• Knowledge in referring to the standards ASME sections B 31.1, B 31.3, and ASME section.
• Knowledge in metallic pipe fit-ups such as butt, socket, and third joints.
• Verification of isometrics drawing with respect to P&ID.
• Co-ordination with the construction team for verification of punch points.
• Preparation of a re-instatement punch list
• Supervise and carry out the RF pad leak test (pneumatic) and hydro test as per approved procedures.
• Prepare and compile the final dossier for submission to client/third-party inspector review and approval.
• Reviews the documentation relevant to the systems and ensures the systems are constructed in accordance with the prescribed information-drawings, specifications, and vendor information.
• When the systems are to be tested, ensure the system limits are identified, that necessary test equipment is in place, and review completion of punch list items to ensure hydro tests may proceed.
• Demonstrate a professional work ethic and actively participate as a member of the Discipline Workface Planning Team.
