Job Description:

• To coordinate with the customer and design team to discuss technical specifications of any new scope.
• To deploy new DWDM equipment across the kingdom with the help of on-site team members.
• To coordinate with OSP teams to meet span losses according to design values.
• To supervise node operations over NFM-T.
• To create trails and services as per customer requirements. To upgrade software of network element (NE).
• To support field technicians in performing PAT/NAT tests.
• To migrate services from old hardware to new hardware upon request of a customer.

Hands-on Experience:

• NFM-T, a software tool that enables the creation and deletion of services and trails as well as monitoring of alarms. It is used for Nokia Optics products such as 1830 PSS-4, PSS-8, PSS-16, PSS-32, PSS-36, PSS-64, PSI-M.

Mobily ITN CIENA swap:

The scope of the project was to install a new NOKIA DWDM network in place of an older CIENA backbone. There were 90 nodes, consisting of ILA, ROADM and DGE types, with over 400 services covering different rates. The migration went smoothly without any outage.

Mobily Enterprise CIENA swap:

Our scope of work was to replace CIENA's aging and out-of-service equipment with NOKIA's, which was mostly installed in banks, universities, and government organizations. We deployed a 60-node NOKIA network with the same node types and rates as CIENA's old network, then migrated over 200 services smoothly without any interruptions.

Expansions in Existing Mobily Network:

The main purpose of the CIENA swap was to enable Mobily to expand its network, which would not have been possible due to the fact that CIENA equipment was out of service agreement. Once Nokia took over CIENA and Mobily assigned us the task of expanding its network, we were able to meet our client's needs.

Software Upgrade of Existing Mobily Network:

To support the addition of new features, the software release of NE's and NFM-T needed to be upgraded. The upgrade was smoothly accomplished without any hardware failures or outages.

L0 Transformation in existing Mobily network:

The transformation was accomplished with the help of special services team, TAC and on-field team. The pre-requisites for smooth operation were already in place, including NE software upgrade. As a result, activation of WSON feature is enabled in the existing network.

• To manage and troubleshooting the tickets with L3.
• To support design and integration team for their queries.
• To handle responsibilities of providing 24x7 networking support in production environment.
• Execute system configuration changes as per the request of costumer.
• Maintaining and monitoring alarms and equipment to meet 100% SLA uptime standards.
• Perform Transmission link testing activities of various types of bandwidth circuits with the support of field engineer.
• To identify the faults and troubleshoot with accuracy in minimum down time.
• Resolving the Level 2 escalations.

Hands-on Experience:

• U2000 is a software tool used to create, delete, and monitor services and alarms on Huawei Optics devices such as OSN 8800, OSN 6800, OSN 1800, BWS 1600, OSN 3500, OSN 7500

Regional Cable Network (RCN):

In a joint venture of five countries UAE, KSA, Jordan, Syria & Turkey, a project provided the DWDM link via land as a low-cost solution to submarine cables. The operation was run from KSA with on-site teams in other countries.

• My Core responsibilities were
• Preparation of plan for sites installation and complete risk analysis calculations before execution
• Supervising the Installation of Optical Network Equipment
• Testing, Commissioning, conducting PAT of optical Transmission equipment

• Perform NE Software up-gradation for expansion in SDH Network to enhance data processing capability
