Physical Therapist Specialist & CQI/PS Officer | Armed Forces Rehabilitation Center, Taif

Functioning as a dedicated Physical Therapist Specialist, providing comprehensive care to inpatient and outpatient individuals recovering from Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and amputation. Concurrently serve as a proactive Continuous Quality Improvement & Patient Safety (CQI/PS) Officer, contributing to the advancement of both the Physical Therapy and Quality Departments through:

• Strategic monitoring and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements.
• Spearheading and collaborating on quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Comprehensive management, analysis, and reporting of Incident Reports (IR) to identify trends and implement preventative measures.
• Development and delivery of targeted staff education programs and facilitation of constructive peer review activities.
• Integral participation in accreditation readiness efforts, including CBAHI, JCI, and CARF, ensuring adherence to international standards.
• Active involvement in risk management strategies and the reporting of Sentinel Events to promote a safe patient environment.
• Further enhanced expertise in quality management principles through completion of the Health Quality Management Program (HQMP2) at Prince Sultan Military College for Health Sciences, Dharan (2022).

- Manage 11-16 adult patients with varying degrees of complexity, levels of education and Health service needs
- Evaluate, plan treatment, and administer care to individual patients.
- Collaborated with the patients and caregivers to set goals and implement physical therapy treatment plan
- Instructed patients and their caregivers in home treatment programs

- Manage 7-10 adult patients with varying degrees of complexity, levels of education and health service needs which includes the following areas: SCI, TBI, Neuro, Surgical and Amputation
- Utilize the physical therapy process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to ensure appropriate care to patients and their families
- Coordinate and communicate in Arabic and English within a multidisciplinary, multinational team of professionals (physicians, nurses, social workers, administrators) and others to facilitate effective patient care
- Precept, mentor and Provide evaluation feedback on progress of students, therapists and Rehab Therapy Aid who were new to the department
- Participate as key member of Amputee and SCI clinical pathway team
- Leader of the fitness and wellness program for highly active patients
- Instructor for the Amputee Specialty program
- Participated as a speaker in Maximizing Potential Recovery in Stroke Rehabilitation in 2016

- Provided supervision and education to Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and family/caregivers involved in the treatment and care of patients

- Performed managerial tasks such as weekly, monthly and yearly reports, QI reports, Performance evaluation for PT, PT Aids and PT technicians,
- Communicated with physicians, nurses, physical therapy assistants and aides to ensure continuity of care and arrange patient/family conferences
- Participated as a speaker in Excellence of Prosthetic Rehabilitation workshop in 2014 and in Maximizing Potential Recovery in Stroke Rehabilitation in 2016
- Arranged follow up schedules with Prosthetic department after patients discharge
