Proactive professor and researcher with 10+ years of experience teaching courses on undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I work as a head of bioinformatics at the center of medical genomics researchers in Jeddah. I am interested in exploiting data for furthering understanding of biological systems. My research programs can be broadly classified into; 1) deployment of computational approaches for the analysis, interpretation, and exploitation of large-scale biologically derived data, and 2) the development of computational tools and algorithms for the analysis of biological data.
I taught Operating systems course, Discrete mathematic, Advanced AI courses. I evaluated and supervised the senior final projects.
I established the first genomics data center in KAU, developed next-generation sequencing pipeline to analyze clinical data, and perform many research activities such as Cohort Studies and Functional Characterization of Genetic Variants.
I taught computer science dept. courses such as introduction to computing, advanced programming (java), Algorithms and data structure, network security lab, operating system lab, databases lab.
Analyze the breast cancer research group's clinical and genetic data.
I taught thecomputer science dept. courses such as introduction to computing, advanced databases, system files, and others.
My duty was to develop a registration program that allows the students to register their courses and get their schedules. Also, the program calculates the GPA and prints out the students' transcripts. The program is developed as client/server application.
