• To maintain excellent communication/coordination with both internally as well as with contractors and sub-contractor to complete different contract packages on schedule.

Responsibilities as QA/QC Lead Engineer

• Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the site quality management. Supervising all regulatory compliance activities and helping to enforce quality assurance policies and best practice principals covering the safety, design, production and inspection
• Review and approve EPC Contractor Inspection test plan and Quality program of sub-contractors.
• Monitor overall project Quality and ensures that the construction is in line with project and international code and standards (ASME,API,ASTM,NFPA,IBC)
• Witness and selected inspection and routinely perform surveillance and Quality control activities of EPC Contractor to ensure the contractor is adequately implementing the Quality program.
• Coordinate with vendor inspection, third party inspection agencies whenever required.
• Testing Commissioning and witness
• Seek action for satisfactory resolution of Quality problems through the projects QA/QC Manager.
• Attends the Management QA/QC Meeting to discuss High lights/concerns and seek management assistance to resolve any Quality issues.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate with audit team to conduct the periodic Quality audit on EPC and contractor for compliance to their Quality programs.
• Ensure EPC Contractors/ sub-Contractors Quality staffing level and competency of personnel.
• Responsible for controlling and closing of NCR raised by inspection team.
• Prepare QA/QC report on weekly and monthly basis.
• Prepare Monthly PQI.
• Conducting lesson learned as per EPM guideline and Knowledge areas
• Preparing final closeout reports as per EPM guide line.

Duties & Responsibilities as QC Inspector:

• Carry out progress inspection as per approved ITP and as follows
• Attend quality meeting with contractor to resolve the problems.
• Review drawing,
• Review Material Certificates, NDE reports (UT, MPI, and PT).
• Witness of al type of testing Hydro testing,& pneumatic
• Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings. Verify proper size and schedule of pip, rating of flanges, proper flange face and fittings.
• Inspect Piping just before erection to verify that interior is clear of foreign material, check edge preparation and fit-up to verify that areas to welded are free of contaminants and that fit-up is within tolerance.
• Witness and inspection of all types of testing of tanks and roof lifting.
• Conduct inspection on rotary equipment i.e. Extruder, Pumps, Compressor, Blowers ,Emergency Diesel generators (EDG)etc
• Witness Orientation, Setting, Pre and Final alignment of equipments.
• Observe and quality check during erection and Box-up of static equipments i.e. Vessels, Heat exchangers, Columns, Filters, cooling towers and chiller towers
• Monitor complete erection of Extruder units and implement long term preservation process.
• Supervise the erection, functional test and load test of Cranes, including Bridge cranes, Electric Mono Rail Hoists and Manual chain blocks.
• Follow up and implementation for short and long term vendor recommended preservation for equipments including mechanical seals and witness it periodically.
• Inspection of HVAC( Ducting ,AHU ,Motorized and volume dampers)etc
• vAssist PRP team during walk through and closure of negative findings.
• Check package equipments in accordance with P&ID.
• Regular visit to lay down yard for assess the health of equipment and spares.
• Coordinate between EPC and E&PM for waiver request.
• Prepare punch list as per drawings and specification.
• Monitoring the erection of PH systems including bagging machine, Conveyors, Palletizer, Big bag loading machine.
• Participate in weekly QC meeting with EPC and sub contractor.
• Assist Audit team during site surveillance
• Visual, dimensional inspection, witness hydrostatic test. pneumatic test of underground and above ground
• Reviewing of documents, Method statements.
• Active role in Pre-commissioning,
• All testing of CO2 system and Inspection of duct and inspection of Refrigeration system Testing of FRP line, Epoxy joint and hardness test.
• Inspect the activities related to piping, accessories, gaskets, bolts, supports valve prior to line reinstatement acceptance as per latest drawings for construction, code & specifications standards
• Perform "Hold", "Witness" and "Surveillance", inspections and tests at facilities/construction sites to ensure compliance with SABIC requirements and Project Specifications
• Monitoring Shop fabrication inspection activities like Dimensional, Assembly, Welding, Painting
• Visual Check on weld joint for edge preparation Fit-Up, Root/ Interpass and Final Welds. Verify WPS implementation by welders during welding operations. Identify weld discrepancies to the welding crew. Make Weld Visual Inspection Checklist
