  • Takes opening sounding of the receiving storage tank with the surveyor and computes tank ullage to check acceptance of vessel’s parcel, record readings in the gauge ticket.
  • Upon boarding of depot presents notice of readiness to confirm that the vessel is ready to discharge cargo.
  • Checks vessel documents such as bill of loading, Cargo Tank inspection report, Certificate of quality, vessel tanks Inage and Ullage report, calibration table.
  • Checks the seals against the plan.
  • Confirms and signs the notice of readiness.
  • Conducts sounding of vessel temperature reading of the presence of surveyor and vessel representatives, Takes product samples from vessel for testing.
  • Computes the volume of the cargo ( to be reviewed by the surveyor, Applies trim correction factors in the computation of the ship Figure Shore Discharge and Ship Figure After Discharge Volume if necessary.
  • Before commencing on discharging, inspects areas surrounding for any fishing or other hazardous activities.
  • Advise Duty Supervisor of readiness to Unload.
  • Bulk Operator at the shore; open the valves at receiving manifold for line clearing before commencing on pumping of product.
  • Bulk operator one hour after start of pumping, computes pumping rate to determine tank target height.
  • While discharging operations.
  • Duty Supervisor/ Bulk Operator - advise vessel to start product discharging.
  • Bulk Operator- At shore records time pumping started.
  • Bulk Operator- monitor completely discharging operations (Monitor line pressure and line leaks) and report to Supervisor status of discharging operations every hour.

  • Post Discharging Operation:
  • Bulk Liquid Operator Witness final of vessels compartments for partial delivery or for dryness.

  • Verifies and approves delivery receipt / cargo statement and surveyors report, sign dry certificate in case of full discharge.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator seals relevant compartment in case of residual on board (ROB).
  • Bulk Liquid Operator after vessel product discharging closes all necessary valves to receive from pier manifold to shore tank farm is completed.
  • Operations Supervisor releases the vessel.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator disconnects mooring ropes from dolphins.
  • Responsibilities Activities :
  • NOTE: After newly received product has settled (about 6 to 8 hours depending on the amount of product received) the bulk plant undertakes the following.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator / Operations Supervisor Draw off water content of tanks after receiving operations.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator takes closing measurements of receiving tank take sounding measurement and temperature and records in gauging ticket.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator take product samples and determine density and temperature and computes volume of product, reconcile computed volume with volume of product received.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator takes also samples (Top Middle and Bottom) for laboratory testing shall be done as specified in the documents, fuel sampling and tests.
  • Accomplished Four Point Analysis Report and explains variance should there be bulk losses beyond the acceptable limit of 0.25%.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator submits to the operations supervisor. The surveyor computation sheet and their statement.
  • Operations Supervisor approves and sign the computed receipt volume.
  • Bulk Liquid Operator prepares quantity report.
  • Operations Supervisor signs quantity report and explains bulk losses in case there is excessive variance.
  • Surveyor distributes copies quantity report.
