PROJECT ENGINEER (2021 - Current )

• After gaining valuable and fruitful experience through these projects, I was given the opportunity to advance my career and was promoted to Project Engineer, allowing me to take on greater responsibilities and contribute at a higher level.
• Managed projects through the full project lifecycle, from concept development and feasibility studies through FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and project close-out, ensuring compliance with approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Led and coordinated multidisciplinary engineering activities involving process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation & control, civil/structural, and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Participated in concept development and FEED studies, including scope definition, technical evaluations, engineering specifications, design reviews, equipment selection, constructability assessments, and development of project execution strategies.
• Reviewed and coordinated engineering deliverables, including design drawings, equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, technical reports, calculations, and vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and client requirements.
• Developed and reviewed project cost estimates, budgets, schedules, and execution plans, covering engineering, procurement, construction, equipment, materials, manpower, subcontractors, commissioning, and other project costs.
• Monitored project cost and schedule performance, including commitments, actual expenditures, forecasts, progress measurement, variations, change orders, and potential cost/schedule impacts, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Coordinated procurement and vendor activities, including technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, material/equipment expediting, inspection coordination, and resolution of technical and commercial interfaces affecting project execution.
• Performed constructability and pre-construction reviews to identify design clashes, installation constraints, access limitations, material handling requirements, construction sequencing issues, and potential field risks before execution.
• Led coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors, effectively managing technical interfaces and resolving project execution challenges.
• Developed and maintained structured project documentation and records management systems, ensuring traceability and control of contracts, engineering documents, correspondence, reports, inspection records, change orders, technical queries, and project close-out documentation.
• Led project execution activities during the Saudi Kayan Turnaround 2023, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, work fronts, permits, materials, equipment, and critical-path activities to maintain progress against the approved turnaround schedule.
• Implemented quality management and HSE requirements throughout project execution, including inspection and test coordination, method statement reviews, risk assessments, permit-to-work compliance, site inspections, and resolution of quality/HSE issues.
• Supported pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, including system completion, punch-list clearance, testing, equipment readiness, turnover documentation, commissioning coordination, and handover to operations.
• Managed project close-out and handover activities, including final punch-list clearance, as-built documentation, test certificates, operation and maintenance records, lessons learned, and completion dossiers.

-Managed thermal cracking project phases 1 and 2 as focal point and pre-feed leader.

Developed and monitored more than 20 site projects worth over than 200 m SAR total.

-Installed new IBN Zahr waste heat boiler for site operations.

-Executed and closed out Saudi Kayan improvement project for power factor.

-Upgraded IBN Zahr boiler #01-02 control panels for better control.

-Installed additional PSV required for high load.

-Provided vent line and PG for CO cylinder installation.

-Replaced IBN Zahr 28-UPS-8-1 to restore service reliability.

-Delivered 200-H-01 radiant tube replacement project safely.

-Lowering Down Catalyst Injection for PP2 Reactor.
