• Participating in and Leading commissioning teams for commissioning of Transmission and Distribution Substations
• Handling daily events in the Electrical Grid System
• Analyzing and troubleshooting faults of SAS/RTU, Telecom Equipment and AMR/AMI performance
• Supervision of overall functions/activities of the SCADA RTU’s and SAS availability when assigned as a chief engineer
• Supervision and maintenance of the AVR ,Meters and Metering Circuits ,Fault Recorders, AMR/AMI and other control circuits in substation o Review and approval of project designs, schedules, equipment's, proposed subcontractors list etc., submitted by contractors
• Check project submittals for completeness and clarity, Review the “As-Built drawings” and monitor site progress
• Frequent visits to project sites to monitor the progress and to intervene between functional Divisions of SEC to complete the project
• Substation Automation, Control Panel Design and Specification
• Jobs responsibilities as Design Review consultant:
• Review and approve project Base/Detail designs, schedules, equipment's, proposed, subcontractors list etc., submitted by contractors
• Check project submittals for completeness and clarity, Review the “As-Built drawings”, Monitor site progress and assist Saudi Electricity Company engineers in commissioning and testing of SCADA RTU, SAS,Fault recorders ,AMR and communication equipment's
• Telecom Equipment and Systems:
• Review and approve project Base/Detail designs Telecom equipment (SDH, MPLS and MDFOTE) in addition to Fiber Optic Systems (OPGW & UGNFOC)
• Review FOC tests results (OTDR traces and Bidirectional test results)
• Integration of different Systems with Control Centers:
• Responsible for establishing the Telecom channels for SCADA RTU and SAS systems and support for interoperability for the new substations, Responsible for integration of AMR/AMI systems and DSM systems with Control Centers>
