I am a Computer Engineering student at the University of Bahrain, College of Information Technology, Department of Computer Engineering, with a GPA of 3.98. I am proficient in reading, writing, and developing software using Python, Java, C, and C++. I have strong knowledge and practical experience in embedded systems, digital circuit design, and microcontroller programming.
Additionally, I have experience in web design, data analysis, and error handling. I also have a strong ability to optimize application performance by improving efficiency, reducing energy consumption, increasing execution speed, and enhancing system reliability across various tasks.
I designed the smart system to provide a faster and easier way to manage parking areas. The system uses cameras and sensors to detect vehicles, identify license plates, and monitor the number of available parking spaces. When all parking spaces are occupied, the system automatically closes the electric gate to prevent more vehicles from entering.
A web page is also provided to show the current availability of parking spaces and help drivers find a suitable space. The system uses YOLO-based image processing for license plate detection and ultrasonic sensors to help prevent vehicles from hitting obstacles. It also supports contactless payment through QR codes. Overall, the project aims to improve parking management, reduce the time drivers spend looking for parking, and help decrease traffic congestion and pollution.
