- I spearheaded a major infrastructure overhaul at Umm Alqura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, moving the institution away from legacy mainframe systems. This required conducting an in-depth technical and financial evaluation, which I translated into a precise, well-structured report proposing a comprehensive alternative solution. The initiative ultimately generated annual savings of 10 million SAR for the university.
- Alongside a team of seven network and systems specialists, I helped design and implement an internet/intranet platform for Umm Alqura University built entirely on open-source technology, cutting yearly costs by 200,000 SAR.
- My graduate research focused on how open-source software can help public sector institutions meet technology demands while staying within tight budgets. As a practical application of this research, I built and deployed a digital library system using DSpace. This system was implemented at Umm Alqura University and earned recognition as the top university for digital innovation in 2007.
- At Aljouf University, I worked closely with administrative, financial, and technical teams to lead a project relocating multiple academic department buildings to the central campus—completing the work ahead of schedule (2012–2013).
- During this period, I also designed and oversaw several institutional transformation initiatives. These projects were evaluated, approved, and rolled out over two years, earning the university the Technical Excellence Award from the Yesser e-Government Program (2013–2015).
