I am a clinical pathology specialist, with over 18 years of experience in clinical pathology field mainly chemistry and special chemistry sections with good experience in haematology and blood bank sections. Strong experience in the laboratory management, quality systems, and process improvement in both hospital and private lab settings.
I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Pathology, along with certifications including CPHQ, CAP Inspector Training and i started MBA in July 2025 and expect to graduate in mid-2026. I have hands-on expertise in CAP accreditation, successfully leading my team in King Abdul-Aziz hospital lab as lab medical director and team leader in two CAP inspections with minimal findings, also leading my team in 3 CBAHI inspections two of them with no deficiencies. Strong experience in internal audits, and QMS implementation, as well as practical knowledge of platforms like Beckman Coulter, Abbott Architect, Siemens and Vitros XT.
My key strengths include analytical thinking, quality management expertise, process improvement mindset, leadership and team development, lab information systems proficiency, communication and stake holder management, strategic planning, developing and monitoring KPIs, team management, optimizing turnaround time (TAT), and leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma principles.
Active participation in renovation project in 2019 in King Abdul-Aziz Hospital core lab (Chemistry, Special chemistry and Haematology), also active participation in renovation project in 2024 in King Abdul-Aziz Hospital lab (All lab sections) which plays a crucial role in improving the overall efficiency, accuracy, and quality of laboratory services. By contributing to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation systems, I have helped to streamline workflow, reduce human error, and accelerate turnaround time (TAT) for test results.
Automation in the laboratory not only increases productivity but also ensures greater standardization, better traceability, and improved safety for staff. It supports compliance with international quality standards and facilitates data integration with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), enhancing both clinical decision-making and patient care.
My involvement included evaluating automation technologies, optimizing test menus, integrating pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases, and training staff to adapt to new systems. This initiative significantly contributed to operational excellence and reinforced the laboratory's position as a center of innovation and reliability
