Samey is leading the Project Controls team in Buro Happold responsible for developing the Integrated Portfolio Schedule for GIGA Projects , scenario planning, scheduling of assets including the procurement durations and interfacing between various workstreams within the portfolio.

Samey was leading the Project Controls team in Atkins responsible for developing the internal and external project controls functions within Atkins , scenario planning, scheduling of assets including the procurement durations and interfacing between various workstreams within the portfolio.

• Preparing and agreeing with client WBS / Weightage strategy
• Preparing detail Baseline schedule comprising of contractual milestones, RIBA stages, Stakeholder requirement, integrating external dependencies, Authorities Approvals, Procurement stages and agreeing it with Client.
• Cost loading entire baseline schedule and developing the EVM Metrics for progress reporting.
• Held workshops with Client and internal disciplines to discuss and understand design strategy and implement accordingly.
• Responsible for Preparing EV graphs, Updating KPI’s, CTC & Change Reporting.
• Preparing weekly/monthly dashboard and reports.
• Cost & Value Reporting for Internal Board in monthly PRB’s
• Setting up Cost & Timesheet management system and reporting it on Weekly/Monthly basis.
• Reviewing the Budget overruns and mitigating proposals in review board’s.
• Preparing and agreeing with client WBS / Weightage / Codes.
• Preparing Masterplan schedule comprising of Design deliverables, Procurement strategies, Stakeholder’s involvement, Authority’s approval process.
• Preparing executive Weekly and Monthly reports.
• Reviewing and assessing sub consultants & contractors schedule on weekly / monthly basis and advising mitigating measures in terms of any slippages.
• Preparing presentations highlighting the revised strategies and attending weekly meeting and incorporating the same in the schedule once agreed with client.
• Assisting PD’s in interfacing of project strategies within portfolio and implementing the same in Master Schedule.
• Preparing what if scenarios and corresponding presentation facilitating the client’s decision.

Samey was part of Project Controls team in Atkins / CTBH working on secondment roles with Contractor's, Client, PMC, working on baseline scheduling, progress reporting, forensic planning.

Riyadh Metro Package 3 – LDC Contract

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Baseline Schedule for MC comprising of Civil scope of works which includes TTM, Viaducts, Authority approvals, Utilities diversion etc..
• Reviewing Sub contractor’s schedule on weekly basis.
• Coordinating with the Construction Managers for Changing Strategy in case of any delays.
• Assisting Schedule Manager in Earned Value Analysis.
• Assisted with development of the baseline schedule for design phase and coordination with construction requirements using construction schedule.
• Project control assistance for reporting and earned value measurement for the design phase.
• Preparing the Internal Report for Board Review.
• Tracking KPI’s, preparing S-Curve, Cost Curve.
• EA (Enterprise Advantage) cost update.
• Responsible for Preparing EV graphs, CTC & Change Reporting.
• Create and issue an overall master project schedule and a procedure for controlling and adjusting the plan and program to reflect the current project status.

Samey was involved in the Dispute phase of the Project as a Junior Planner and assisted the Senior Planner / Commercial Manager in various phases of Arbitration

• Assisting Senior Planner for Delay Analysis Techniques like As Planned vs As Built, TIA
• Assisting Senior Planner in Preparation of Graphical representation of Window Analysis (Time Impact Analysis).
• Preparing Master List of Events for Disruption Analysis
• Assisting Senior Planner in Preparing Global Events with respect to each window & utility for Disruption Analysis
• Assistant for preparation of Statement of Claim / Defense statement.
• Identifying the Events Which Impacted on the delay of the Project.
• Coordinating with Delay Experts, Lawyers in providing the information for SOC / Rebuttal.
