Tunde Ogungbesan is a seasoned, delivery focused, and hands-on executive specializing in talent management, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion. Currently a key member of the Executive Development team at Saudi Aramco, he reports to the CEO. He brings over two decades of experience in the energy, media, and banking sectors, where he has undertaken progressively challenging global roles in talent management, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
Born in London, Tunde's expertise spans various industries, and his career highlights include serving as the former BBC Director for Diversity, Inclusion, and Leadership Succession where he took the BBC through a successful cultural transformation. In his current role, Tunde leads the Saudi Aramco Group's global Talent Management and Leadership Development Centre of Excellence. Here, he has successfully redesigned and implemented a comprehensive talent management strategy for the entire Saudi Aramco Group. It encompasses the talent review processes, identification and development of high-potential talent from entry level to executive positions, and the establishment of new succession planning governance for senior, executive, and key roles.
Tunde is a qualified Executive Coach and actively contributes to the development and success of Executive Committee members through coaching and mentoring.
Prior to his BBC tenure, Tunde was a Senior Talent and Diversity and Inclusion Adviser at Shell where he led the organisation to meeting its gender diversity targets and designed and implemented Shell's very first global disability strategy.
Beyond his corporate roles, Tunde served as a board member of a number of respected organisations, including the UK Radio Academy, Creative Diversity Network, and Futures Theatre Company.
