Assist and provide guidance for rig supervisors and crews with safety, training, accident prevention, hazard identification and control and all other HSE related issues.

Conduct certified HSE training Courses as per SA and GW training matrix.

Conduct regular rig inspections and actively observe any unsafe conditions or acts.

Assist and guide rig crews in developing hazard identification skills via use of the Company’s Safety Observation and Correction (SOC) program.

Provide and control documentation and reinforce Company policies.

Ensure compliance with Company HSEMS, all applicable local, and international regulations and standards.

Develop key Indicator Metrics and monitoring to identify trends and potential problem areas based on trend analysis.

Is focal point for post-incident management including preparation, investigation and submittal of incident reports and corrective action follow-up.

Regularly attend and actively guides and participates in meetings such as Weekly Safety Meetings, Pre- task meetings, Operation Meetings, audit kick off and close out meetings, HSE conference calls, etc.

Conduct rig HSE Audits.

Monitor audits/inspections for action item completion and corrective action tracking to ensure all corrective/remedial actions and taken within targeted time frame.

Develop, revise, conduct and/or coordinate trainings such as Rig Pass, JSA, Well Control, Emergency Response, First Aid, Respiratory Protection, HAZCOM, PTW, LOTO, Fall Protection, H2S, Firefighting, Gas testing, DROPS, etc.

Conduct, assist and provide guidance for emergency safety drills such as (H2S drills, Fire drills, First Aid drills, Environmental Spill drill, Pit and Trip drills, Bop drills, Disaster drills or any combination of emergency scenarios that might occur on a drilling rig) and ensure emergency preparedness is always at the highest level for potential emergencies.

Maintain safety and training activity records and matrix as required by regulation, Client requirements and Company policy.

Develop, conduct, and monitor safety campaigns based on Annual QHSET plan/ if deems necessary based on trend analysis.

Coordinate Yearly Rig Award Program.

Assist Operations in the implementation of the Emergency Response Plan including ensuring that local emergency contact numbers are current and posted in all required rig areas.

Assist Rig Managers and rig supervisors in planning, analyzing, communicating, problem solving and leadership.
