Summary

A recent General Geology-Hydrogeology graduate from King Abdulaziz University with practical field training at the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS). Possesses a solid foundation in general geology, basic field mapping, and using ArcMap for hydrological analysis. Enthusiastic about applying my academic knowledge and field skills in both groundwater and general geological exploration projects.

Work history

Hydrogeology Trainee

Geological Services Center - Saudi Geological Survey (SGS)
JEDDAH
2025.10 - 2025.12
  • Conducted hydrochemical sampling and groundwater quality assessments to determine aquifer salinity and resource suitability for sustainable management.
  • Applied GIS techniques and spatial analysis to delineate watershed boundaries and identify critical groundwater recharge zones.
  • Performed field infiltration testing and permeability analysis to assess hydraulic conductivity and inform groundwater flow modelling.
  • Processed hydrometric and spatial datasets using digital geoprocessing workflows to support regional groundwater reserve evaluations.
  • Collaborated with multidisciplinary technical teams in documenting well-logging data, field observations, and preparing technical hydrogeological summaries.

ACADEMIC PROJECT

Project Title: Daily Sediment Discharge Forecasting: ANN Performance Using GRADES vs. Observed Runoff Data

  • AI Applications in Hydrogeology: Gained practical experience in leveraging Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), specifically the feedforward backpropagation (FFBP) algorithm, to model and solve complex hydrological problems.
  • Engineering Software Proficiency: Mastered the use of MATLAB's Neural Network Toolbox (nntool) for building, training, and testing predictive models.
  • Data Processing & Analysis: Developed advanced skills in processing large time-series datasets of runoff and sediment concentration (SC), including applying data normalization techniques.
  • Global Simulation Models Integration: Built the capability to integrate and compare global hydrological model data (such as GRADES) as an effective proxy in basins suffering from a scarcity of local observational data.
