I am committed to a career in academic medicine. With 15 years of dedicated experience in teaching at the College of Medicine, I have consistently been recognized as a best teacher and role model on multiple occasions. My passion lies in contributing to the establishment and leadership of college of medicine programs, drawing from my extensive expertise in teaching, learning, and curriculum design.
My academic contributions are reflected in my numerous publications and recent recognition among the top 2% of researchers worldwide for 2024, as assessed by Stanford/Elsevier. Currently, I hold the position of Chairperson of the Medical Physiology Department and lead the Curriculum Management Committee for second and third-year students, where I play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of future medical professionals.
Notably, my previous role as an ex-Dean at a private college provided me with the opportunity to elevate student performance and academic standards significantly. During my tenure, the college achieved the distinction of being the premier private institution in the kingdom for nursing specialties, as evidenced by the exceptional performance of our students in the Saudi licensing examination.
I am driven by a strong desire to continue making meaningful contributions to the field of medical education, with a focus on driving excellence, innovation, and growth within academic medicine institutions.
